Good evening everybody :hello:
Another one for me, please YM - I keep posting just that bit too late every night! Never mind. And BTW, you are doing a sterling job, monsieur, thank you so much.:T
Thanks, Fay, for volunteering to do the scoring for October. I hope we don't drive you batty.
Where's our Budgie? Hope you're OK if you're lurking, Budge. My job's going well, like you said it would. Don't think I've made too many huge mistakes yet ...
HB - loved the picture of the wise bear, so cute!! :rotfl:
Jo - y'OK? Hope you are enjoying the peace with the majority of the school celebrating Eid! DD2's best friend celebrates Eid and Xmas and gets two lots of presents - imagine!! It's bad enough just thinking about Xmas (oh no, mustn't start you all off on that one again, I'm still in summer mode here in Manchester, the weather's so gorgeous).
Welcome to all the new people, this is a great thread, everybody is so encouraging and also everybody is very honest with each other. :j
Bi for now, just going to get some hot Ribena, yummy.

I got home from uni, after having a great day and at 3.3pm I opened a bottle of red and I scoffed it down in less than an hour and I've hidden the empty bottle.
What am I doing???????????????????? Why did I do that????
I know really. I am an alcoholic. I've done so fantastically well in the last few weeks. But my behaviour doesn't change when I surrender to drink. I'm a secretive drinker, using as short a time as possible to drink as much as possible. Then the hiding begins.
I am ashamed.

I can so relate to hiding the wine bottle; a couple of months ago I came home early from work and decided to have a 'small glass of wine' from a half full bottle from the evening before. I drank the rest of the bottle but because i didn't want my OH to know I'd had the wine I opened an identical bottle and drank half of that! When my OH came in he said "shall we finish this off?" I said "well it's a bit early but ok"!! The games we play.:embarasse
