MOS I am a uni student at 41 so you are in good company - whatcha studying.
Me study - Willow
....................(and this reply is for Jo's question earlier too) I am 36 and am now a proud (mature) student of Adult Nursing at uni. I can't express how thrilled I am to be changing my career. I would love to be a Midwife eventually, but who knows where my studies will take me? It's all very exciting.
I've wanted to be a nurse for years and here I am on the journey right now. I can't quite believe it. I wake up in the night, thinking I have to go back to my old work and panicking, then realising that I don't ever have to go back. I can't tell you how happy that makes me.
Hugs
Caz

I don't know quite why I'm like this today. No reason for it.
I got home from uni, after having a great day and at 3.3pm I opened a bottle of red and I scoffed it down in less than an hour and I've hidden the empty bottle.
What am I doing???????????????????? Why did I do that????
I know really. I am an alcoholic. I've done so fantastically well in the last few weeks. But my behaviour doesn't change when I surrender to drink. I'm a secretive drinker, using as short a time as possible to drink as much as possible. Then the hiding begins.
I am ashamed.

Tomorrow is another day and at least you realise you have a problem and that hiding empty bottles is not a normal thing. Besides we would not know you if you were not on here with the rest of us "strange people"

Caz:You have been such an inspiration to me, keep going, you are doing great!
Su and CB13:I am relatively newby myself, only started beginning of this month.
I've got a new!!! I lost one of my girls a month ago and that left one of the boys on his lonesome. Today I got a new friend for him and I am glad to report that Shaffron and Nutmeg are doing great. So that has kept the bells ringing from me today and makes today no 22 for me please YM.
Couple of weeks ago we had a little celebration at work and bubbly was on offer. I didn't take it as didn't want to spoil a good AF day for the sake of half a glass of champagne. Then I thought that I should leave couple of days per month not AF for situations like this (social situations haven't been a problem for me for years now it is only when I am home and DD is in bed). But I might use those "free" days to do just what I don't want to do i.e. drinking at home for the wrong reasons. My conclusion to all this is that why do I want to have that one glass of wine with xmas lunch at work or that glass of cider when going to music club, what is so special in it? There are several nice AF drinks around so why not just stick with them. I guess I need to learn to be proud to be different and do my own thing. So Fay if you are already [STRIKE]sharpening your pencils[/STRIKE] setting up your spreadsheets - that is 31 for me for October."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
