  • Morning

BB I have read the thread and your post was not the cause of the report to abuse. It was the fact of a merger with another thread that was the problem

Nothing to do with you my dear ;)

Still on 9 :o still another day today

    Have a nice one

Ym thankyou matey, I thought it was down to my post as after I had mentioned our thread a couple of posters said they did not think it was correct, this is what confused me which was posted after my post:

(Me too. Also merging the thread with an alcoholics support thread might deter OP from posting because she is not necessarily going to get impartial support from people who are alcohol dependent.

Edit: I have e-mailed abuse and asked them to review this merge )

So hence I thought it was because I mentioned our group :o I shall certainly not be posting anywhere again in a hurry. But thankyou for putting my mind at ease, I have not slept so well with turning this over and my painful back. My feathers feel all droopy, but well done on 9 af days, you are doing fab and of course you are fab anyway :A (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Shaggy, DizzyDuck, HoneyBear, Fay, Maman, Angie and Jo thankyou for your kind words :A (()) xxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning all

Budgie, so glad last night was all sorted out, I had a quick look after it was discovered that it was the merge that was the problem and it was still hard to spot :rotfl: don't let it worry you, these things happen quite regularly!

Hope everyone has a great SOBER SUNDAY, I'm in a bit of a pickle as I have 6p to my name and I need to buy summat for dinner, pay my childminder and do my laundry at the laundrette as my machine's still not fixed. This is the pickle....I've got £7 in my pocket that DS gave me yesterday that he was saving to spend in Toysrus yesterday but didn't spend it....I could use that for the laundry and replace it in the week, he won't have an opportunity to spend it till next weekend anyway. But all I have in the house to eat is half a small bag of potatoes

Childminder ....... no idea on that one yet

Oh blimey and just remembered, got to get kids packed lunch stuff

This is going to be an interesting day

On the plus side, I've managed to get a ton of new xmas decs off freecycle today, off to get them soon

    Hi Fay & maman

it's great to finally post and I do my own "unofficial" AFD per month but as it's only me I usually wiggle (IFKWIM) therefore I don't set a target and then have a drink anyway but I haven't failed !

I'm not Dundonian but a Portonian (gold star if you suss that out!) but was in Bonnie Dundee for 6 years and am supposedly a botanist (not willows!)

    xx

    Port Glasgow? Grangemouth?

    No idea................:rotfl:

Nice to see another botanist about - I'm half botanist/half horticulturalist and was only born in dundee returning it after my dad left the forces and we returned 'home' - escaped as soon as possibly could!

SSA - yeah the Discovery is there and pengiuns..........

Willows are merely a job! Rather than a life calling I have to say. Morning all - feeling grotty today - DS may have given me his lurgy.

  • WHAT ELSE YOU GOT IN THE CUPBOARDS JO? - Tatties are a great start - can't you accidentally invite yourself to your mum's for tea - or make something for tea fall into her trolley when you take her shopping?

    ds MONEY FOR THE LAUNDRY

Childminder - um no idea about that one - a cheque (if you are OK later in the week?) unless she wants xmas decorations as payment?

Runs away before Jo throws tatties at Fay.......

Ym just to say that I have popped back on the other thread to say sorry for getting the wrong end of the stick. When I originally posted there were only four pages. But I see what you mean now :o

On a lighter note: X Factor last night and J and E singing: Ice, ice baby made me think of our Mr Igloo. The Rugby Coach, wonder how he is? (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fay forgot to say how is your DS now? Hope he is better? (()) xxxxxxxxxxxx

Darling Jo thankyou but what a pickle, could you not do your most pressing washing first , or would your Mum not let you use her machine? I don't know if this would be practical but it would solve your dilema  I don't know how expensive laundrettes are but as you are in London I guess that it would take all of your £7. But you all need to eat so I would say make sure that you buy some food first. Have you not got anything in at all apart from your tatties? I do hope you will be ok? Oh life is pants at times ................ Lots of love and take care sweetheart (()) xxxxxxxxxxxx#
Btw the christmas dec will cheer you up :A

Need to struggle up now :o

Have a lovely Sunday everyone :A

Budge, a large machine is £4 and to dry that lot would be about £2.60 - £3.00 so yes, the £7 would be gone. My mum doesn't have a machine, she hand washes everything () I would need a large machine as there is a lot of washing and that's the pressing bits (remember there are 5 of us and DS and DD2 get through a new uniform everyday as they get so messy!), I usually have 2 machines and sometimes could stretch to 3. This is why it has to be done today because if I leave any, then there will be to much to do next week, money-wise and machine-availability-wise

Re. food, I'm not so bothered about that, we won't starve by any means but I don't have any 'proper' dinner ingredients. I might have half a pack of fish fingers in the freezer and I have some mash left over from yesterday that would make a lovely bubble & squeak if I can source some veg :D I have various tins of soup, tuna etc etc...so no starving here. If it comes to it I think I have enough potatoes to chip the lot in the fryer and the eggs I have are out of date but probably okay, I'd test them first. Just won't be getting my traditional Sunday dinner that's all :(

Childminder......no, still no idea  (don't have a cheque book and don't get paid till 30th, 2 weeks tomorrow )

    Ah well, whatever

  • Jo glad to hear that you have bits and bobs in. I am down to virtually zero too as I want to defrost my freezer. Dh and my little dog are using up some steak. I don't eat meat and its been in there a while. Looks like I shall have to concoct some lentil thingy for me.

We do spoil our little westie though, before Mr BB lost his job he had only the best now sadly he also has to eat some dog food

Would your childminder be understanding? Its so difficult when you have children. Mr BB and I are getting by on just my wages but I only have 30hrs contracted per week and with how the housing market is, there is no chance of increasing them.

I did apply for wtc but that has all been cocked up and I have to reapply.

I have cut down on what I can standing orders wise but I think I will have to re-tweek with Christmas etc.

I am lucky though as I have no debt and finding this site when Mr BB lost his job has kept me on the straight and narrow. I read some of the posts from people and they are truly heartrenching, things just seem so hopeless for them and lots just don't know which way to turn.

It makes you think its better to have an older car etc than to put yourself in that position.

I do know that once Mr BB gets a job we will be ok, I shall though be much more mindful on what I spend. When my DS was at home and then uni my account was just like a sieve.

But yes after my ramblings you do need to do your washing, shame your Mum doesn't have a washing machine .......................

I hope things work out for you Jo and please do take care. (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fay glad to hear your Ds is getting better but sorry to hear you are feeling under par now. Hugs (()) xxxxxxxxxxxx
