thanks for that heartfelt post Jo - it really shows how low you were and how far away from that dark place you are now. it's really scary to think how badly alcohol can hit you and where it can take you.
Well done you for making it this far.

PBT - I see exactly what you mean about giving up being easier than cutting down. I employ a similar tactic when controlling the kids access to TV and video games - they are unable to self control, I am inconsistent with timings (just half an hour can streeeetch), so now I just say NO on school nights and all is easy.
I just need to adopt the same approach to alcohol - today I am not drinking. full stop.
    Trying to keep in budget.

  • Hi chaps - thanks for asking after the DS person!

thought DS had flu but he's got a lung/chest infection - equally horrid but he's sounding like one of hte dead with his wracking chest. Doc said he should be OK after the weekend when the anti-biotics kick in - BUT keeping a firm eye.

Heartfelt stuff on here today and not caught up on all of it yet.

    Hugs to all

GG - 12 for me lovie (including tonight) and well done on the scoring

    - moderate bells when shopping last night treated myself to three packets of 'crispy aromatic duck and pancakes' instead (they are not scoffed just in the freezer for a treat........

Didn't BHB say something about internet issues before? Waves hello to the rest of you!
