  • Morning all!

Two things I realised when I got up today...1) I have got so much done since being AF (or rather since not spending my evenings comatose on the settee) and 2) the whites of my eyes are actually white now :j

Just wanted to share that with you guys.Off to catch up with a mammoth amount of posts now, you've been busy this weekend! Have a lovely Monday.

ps 18/20 for me please Fay!!!

Go you lot go - and remember to sign up for T2GU's 72 hr challenge :)

Just dropped OH on boat and now am alone alone o' on my little island (well aside the other 20,000 residents) bit shaky but lots of work to do - am giving myself a bit of slack time to day during day to ensure I have to be clear headed and work later on.

Taking time out to read my new book too :) and write a few letters to chums.

Waves morning to all and updating as I go along.

I forgot my phone (its asleep under my pillow) - doh :)

Well done Clara!! That's how I feel too! Even managed to put our wedding photos into an album which I have been meaning to do since we got married SEVEN years ago!! (some marriages dont even last that long!). So that's progress indeed. Got most of those other little tasks done too like securing the hook that's hanging off the wall etc. Comatose on settee in the evenings - that was me too. Now I'm getting out and about and doing a bit of exercise too so hopefully getting fitter at the same time as freeing myself from the lure of alcohol. Let's keep going - it's great!!

  • Molly I think your stars walked to you

They were thrown into the atmosphere last Monday am.......:) glad they cheered up your day

Had a sneak to the charity shops this am and got a haul - that cheered me up and me and peedie (only one dog now) walked back from work to house (and backagain) at lunchtime - so we're both full of fresh air - am working a bit later to ensure the evening is a bit shorter!

    Ta for the hugs!

PS T2GU - I just opened and chucked 2 bottles beer down the sink - that shut them up.

Hi everyone, I am doing so rubbish this month. Fay I am now on 5 AFD, absolutely useless. :embarasse

I agree with Fay you are NOT useless, 5 AF is an amazing achievement, you should feel proud.

Clara you're awesome and a real inspiration. You should consider upping your total you know.

Jo thanks for the jokes, they brightened up a pretty carpy Monday morning :D.

I drank A LOT over the weekend, I seemed to be attached to the wine rack with a bit of elastic, I kept being pulled back time after time:o. But it was really odd, yesterday evening I found myself thinking about the 72 hour challenge and really looking forward to it. Knowing that the next evening I would be drinking fizzy water with lime cordial and later on some yummy hot chocolate before going to bed and having a really restful night's sleep was so appealing. Knowing that I didn't have to debate with myself whether I was going to drink and, if I did, whether I was going to be 'moderate' for three days because the decision had already been made is so liberating.

I'm not sure whether I'm making much sense but I sort of feel that something has 'clicked'. The idea that I might at some point in the future be a non drinker, although unlikely, is not completely ridiculous.

    Have a good Monday everyone.
