I agree with Fay you are NOT useless, 5 AF is an amazing achievement, you should feel proud.
Clara you're awesome and a real inspiration. You should consider upping your total you know.
Jo thanks for the jokes, they brightened up a pretty carpy Monday morning
.
I drank A LOT over the weekend, I seemed to be attached to the wine rack with a bit of elastic, I kept being pulled back time after time:o. But it was really odd, yesterday evening I found myself thinking about the 72 hour challenge and really looking forward to it. Knowing that the next evening I would be drinking fizzy water with lime cordial and later on some yummy hot chocolate before going to bed and having a really restful night's sleep was so appealing. Knowing that I didn't have to debate with myself whether I was going to drink and, if I did, whether I was going to be 'moderate' for three days because the decision had already been made is so liberating.
I'm not sure whether I'm making much sense but I sort of feel that something has 'clicked'. The idea that I might at some point in the future be a non drinker, although unlikely, is not completely ridiculous.
Have a good Monday everyone.

Which is a great endorsement - thanks for recommending it several times RA.
Having just got mine I find it's an easy to read as well, and an easy 'pick up, put down, flick through and just read book'.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Am going to see about getting hold of that book myself. Sounds like a definitive read and one that I am totally "ready" for if you know what I mean. Wouldnt have dreamt of saying things like this a few months ago.
I have actually recently said to a couple of people "I dont really drink anymore". Cant decide if that is a good thing or a bad thing to come out with? I feel comfortable about saying it though as I feel confident I wont go back to my old ways of drinking a bottle of wine (at least) a night. I said it because someone offered me a lift to a "do" as she said "I'll expect you'll want to be drinking, so do you want a lift?". Obviously she knows what I used to be like - i.e. couldnt possibly go to a social event without getting plastered.
Just the thought of it now makes me feel peculiar.
Will see if my lovely local library has the book.Sick and tired of waking up sick and tired...
