Like you I have visualized christmas when my challenge is over, sharing a glass of something with my family on xmas day, but now that does'nt seem so important or even appealling!

For me the fog is beginning to clear and I think I see a goal so much more rewarding ahead. Something I have wanted for quite some time, my life, with all its highs and lows, with no curtain to hide behind. Life without the demon is not so scary, the highs are more exhilerating and the lows so much more tolerable, and the most important thing, I will be in controll.

So I think I have answered my question hav'nt I:rolleyes:

Sorry for the long ramble, just thinking out loud.:rotfl:

Totally agree with you!! It's amazing, isnt it?

one more AF for me please so that's 11 so far this month. I'm now at the point where being AF is feeling like "normal" and that actually deciding to have an alcohol drink would not be normal... Plus I'd have to really decide and go and buy the booze etc.
I am loving being able to get up early to go to work after having a wonderful night's sleep and proper rest, and not be feeling rough like I used to. Hurrah!
Have a lovely day everyone. There was ice on my car this morning - yikes!!

Thanks everyone for the updates and the lovely posts over the past few days - no shiny star for me today - didn't abstain last night but only had 2 drinks - no reason really - OH has alcohol in the house (he doesnt pour it down my throat though) and I had two drinks at 10pm as was fretting  stupid and I need to really work harder at it. Unlike some I am really not great at ignoring stuff in the house .

Hopefully am home tomorrow (one way or another) and back to normal routine.

Will update the list later on.:D Paintbrushes await got the door, floors and a bedroom done yesterday. If I got anything wrong sorry i'll fix it - I like to think I am often more enthusiastic than correct -but the intention is there to get it right in the end - I am a work in progress.

Asda have candles in the 'pound section' for 50p at the moment - kinda like skinny church candles - so I treated myself :)

    Waves hello :)

PS Lurks hunny - hope the manic month isn't too manic...........

Being a hobbit - I'd fit nicely in a box but also would pack provisions very carefully to ensure ample food and water :D

  • Morning HB I do like to be resourceful :) thanks for chucking some hugs around I think everyone needs it

The equinox is always a bit unnerving. How's life in jolly old Londinum and Bear land?

I am a stones throw from the Scottish capital - looking out over the firth of forth :) - although I am supposed to be looking at a paintbrush.

Why does alcohol have such a powerful grip on us? How much of our relationship with this drug is written in our genes? What are the real dangers of our children drinking too young?

Fay, I don't the view of a paintbrush would be quite so impressive! :p

I love your capital city - could spend days & days there just pootling about :)

Life in my capital city is good :) The bear flu has not fully materialised so think I just have bear snuffles instead, which is fine. Late start for me today tho so have done some of this...
