Welcome back Caz. Lots of us have been there.
A question from me please.:D
I can't understand why folks need to use alcohol in their cooking.
I don't know anybody in the real world who does this and I do have a very wide range of non alcoholic friends.

RA, I find you get a richer gravy if you use wine. The alcohol is cooked off obviously otherwise I find it has a vinegary tasteDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

Thanks Jo.
As I have friends who have drunk perfume, I am a great believer in having no alcohol in the house.Living Sober.

I bought a mini bottle of red for the beef bourgion sp? Should actually put in a whole normal bottle but too rich for the kids so using half wine and half stock. Having wine in the house really doesnt faze me luckily. But in a gravy.....yum!
On the subject of drinking perfume, a friend of a friend was so desperate that he drunk the liquid from the back of his refrigerator. Dunno if its true, would have thought it you kill you?DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
