If you reduce the credit available on each card as you make regular payments, it may put you in a better position to negotiate a 0% balance transfer card. Good luck I think you are doing well and BTW retirement is fabulous.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Thanks Ches I hadn't thought of that. Have you been retired long? I am working towards it slowly but surely.

6 years now. I don't know how I managed to work and run a house and bring up kids all at the same time but I survived somehow. Now I work 1 day a week in the local charity shop and the rest of the week is my own. Love it.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

You'll get there PBH. Presumably you're targetting the highest rate CC first; which really helps with reducing the amount paid in interest? For us it was the 'unauthorised overdraft fees', hundreds of pounds in a year - often because I was trying to pay too much money of the (lower APR) credit card as I believed that they were what we should get rid of first. Madness! November 2013 will come really soon.

What a beautiful day!!! Took my dog to the beach this morning before Job 2.
Have had a good weekend Mse wise have done all grocery shopping etc for the week ahead including a bottle of wine and spent £30.49 so I'm pretty pleased with that.
Received £2.58 from Amazon which went straight to MBNA not much but every little helps.Snowball DF Nov 2017Jan 2011 MBNA £2634.66 Feb £2608.37 Mar £2561.860 -
£30.49 for a week - that's two adults right (+ pets)? Very impressive. I've just been working ours out and our grocery cost has shot up over the last few weeks - I think its because the computer was in the shop and I couldn't keep a daily eye on things.
Hope you've got more sunshine today where you are - its starting to shine here.

That was for 2 adults, small dog & cat plus occassional meal for DD. I did have quite a lot in the freezer etc. We've had fairly simple meals this week - pasta, omelette, cottage pie etc.
I've got another early London meeting tomorrow so I'm off to bed now.

I hope you have a good day in London. Do you get a chance to look around while you're there? In my old job I used to go up every couple of months and would sometimes have a couple of hours at the end of the day - loved it. Before last weekend I think it must be years since I was in London, and felt every inch a country bumpkin!

Hi
I haven't posted for about 5 months life just got in the way.
I have continued to pay my debts but not with as much enthusiasm as before BUT I need to focus. I am going to maintain this diary again to keep me motivated.
Will be back later with some figures.
Hope some of you are still around.
