We sent out our invites a while back because it's a friday and people need to book it off work. Evening invites will go out in a month or so.0

cool,
think we will send ours out middle to end of next month then, everyone who is invited to the meal is already aware so shouldnt be too much of an issue0 -
These are my bridesmaid dresses. Got them today in the sale at Monsoon and thought I'd share cos I was excited! One of my bridesmaid lives in Australia so I hope it fits her! They look prettier in real life and jazzed up a bit with nice jewellery and pretty shoes.2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD
Christmas sorted for my LO (apart from Frusli bars - they're mine!)0 -
Nice dresses!
I have been worrying about invites too! We get ours in 6 weeks, and it is a Friday, but everyone already knows, so they will be out by start of May.
Evening invites will go out about 2 weeks later - we are having the evening stuff the next day anyway!Give yourself a Chistmas bonus £14 a week!
Total so far £280 -
Hello fellow July weddingers!
I was on the August thread but then when we set the date we set it as July 30th - not far out though!
So far we have:
-booked the venue
-pre-booked the registar
-bought my dress!
-started sending out invites
-booked and paid for the photographer (was cheaper if we paid in full upfront)
-ordered OH's outfit (well some of it)
-decided on best man and bridesmaids
-decided on rings
Still to do:
-give notice at the registry office
-get bridesmaid dresses
-order suit hire for the men
-arrange transport
-send out the rest of the invites (A total minefield!)
-buy the rings (they're from the USA.. D'OH!)
-buy wedding favours
-decide on puddings for the wedding breakfast
and probably a lot of other things that I have forgotten about!
Isn't it exciting!!!Nemmer Nossage :rotfl: :j

Hi Ladies,
I am a late joiner to the July 2010 Brides club. My OH finally proposed while we were on holiday on 18th March and we have decided to waste no time in getting hitched. It has all been quite MSE as we got a reduction on the price of the wedding from my fav venue because we were booking for less than 3 months time! We set the date a week and a half ago for 4th July.
So far we have:
- Booked the venue
- Booked our appointment with register office to give notice
- Booked registrar for wedding
- Bought my dress and shoes
- Asked the best men
- Sent out invites
- Made menu choices
- Booked our accommodation for wedding night
- Arranged photographer (a friend has v kindly offered)
- Arranged table centrepieces (again friend has offered to arrange, have ordered flowers
- Ordered bouquets and buttonholes
- Got a v kind family member who is going to make the cake
- Booked hair appointment and trial
- Booked manicure and pedicure
We have still got to:
- Buy wedding rings
- Give final numbers and menu choices to venue
- Choose music for service and first dance
- Choose readings
- Ask people to do readings and be witnesses
- Organise mini-moon
- Order suits for OH and best men
- Decide on favours
- Do table plans/place names/table names and
- get presents for mothers and best men
We are so lucky to have so many kind friends and family who are helping us out with stuff. I am over the initail panic now we have the invites out and am starting to look forward to it now. I agree with the earlier post that giving yourself 3 months really does help you focus and keep a tight grip on the budget. Have been a stressful few weeks though.
Any tips from those further down the line of planning would be gratefully received0 -
Our invites are due to arrive with us by 3/4th May. Am a bit worried at turning them around quickly!
Everyone thats coming knows, but still want the invites out!
I have narrowed down to 2 dresses, and we have met our first photographer who has suggested time for a dress change! Not bad for a 5 hour day!Give yourself a Chistmas bonus £14 a week!
Total so far £280
