Hi everyone, just joining this thread as I've finally set the date!!
anderson8 we're sharing a date - 30th July.
So far I have...
booked the church!
That's it, that's all I've done and now I'm having a serious panic! Reading through these threads I am waaaay behind. We spent 6 years having IVF treatment and after lots of ups and downs (more downs but that's another story!) we had a beautiful daughter on 1st September :smileyhea
Now she's 12 weeks old I feel ready to get on with the plans. I think my main problem is that I don't really know what I want - sit down meal or buffet? long dress or short dress? Hotel or restaurant? I'm sooooo indecisive!:rotfl:2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD
Christmas sorted for my LO (apart from Frusli bars - they're mine!)0 -

woohoo!
someone with the same date! dont worry you will get things organised.
im lucky in that we booked a hotel who are doing the whole wedding package, cars, flowers, meals, piper, cake.
we have basically just went and pointed out what we want.
As for dresses me and my bridesmaids are going looking in January find out whats suits us/we like, then ordering from milly or landy.
i know most brides want the excitement of organising a wedding but id rather spend the time with my partner.
Congratulations on your little girl!!!0 -
More 30th Julyers like me :T. I feel better now, i've been reading what some people have done already and been panicking a little. I have got venue, my dress, flowergirl dress, tiaras and my jewellery. I just need to sort out a bridesmaid dress then start on all the crazy paranfanalia such as cake, decorations, favours etc.0

I'm hitting the phones tomorrow to find a reception venue. I've got one in mind which seems a really good deal but 30th July seems to be a popular date so I hope it's still available!!
Whereabouts is everyone getting married? I'm in Southampton.2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD
Christmas sorted for my LO (apart from Frusli bars - they're mine!)0 -
Im getting married on the pitch of our local team Falkirk.
Then having the reception in a local hotel.
i got my favours(100 of) for £46.
Bought black and white favour boxes( thats the colour scheme)
and a large box of white and one of black chocolate heart shaped dragees, from ebay!
my bridesmaids and i(and mother) are going dress shopping in january,
my sister who is maid of honour is due her second child at the end of January so she wants me to hold off buying the bridesmaids dress till march!0 -
I'm getting married in a hotel in lancs and also having black and white, well ivory really, and diamonds. I saw some small black square vases on sale on ebay but they were local pick up only. I can't find them anywhere else. I want ivory roses in them with a daimante in each rose and some diamanties scattered around the bottom. I'll probably change my mind before then though!0
