I'm loving the black and white themes! I was thinking of pink and cream, I know that is really predictable but I fell in love with this gorgeous posy made of pink and cream roses and it's sooo pretty.
gingerbeer have you looked in Ikea for vases? Or even poundland, they have some vases sometimes.2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD
Christmas sorted for my LO (apart from Frusli bars - they're mine!)0 -
A florist to do our centre pieces is included in the package at our hotel, i want something simple as im going to have fishbowls with white pebbles at the bottom with a single black moor goldfish in them.
Dont worry about animal cruelty anyone!!
ive done my research and these will be given to the kids at the reception at the end of the night.0 -

I'm going to search the pound shops after christmas once i've visited the venue again to see how many tables i will need as I'm only having 30 to the day do. I saw an idea somewhere to fill clear vases with small black pebbles that you can buy for fish tanks. I might give that a go.
I've bought some lovely ice cream sundae glasses from Morrisons for my sweetie table.0 -

You are more then welcome mighty_mondo and congratulations on setting the date:T
Like everyone else on here you are very organised. I have been looking at reception venues but still can't decide what I really want and I know I need to get a move on.
Decided on a colour theme yet? I'm moving towards hot pink and black, I think it's because I've been a Christmas temp at La Senza and that is the uniform colour :rotfl:2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD

Oh here's the thread for us July brides and grooms to be!
Mine is going to be 30th July - we only got engaged in October so haven't done a great deal although the venues are booked and the marriage license is in han, which is the main thing.0 -
Hi superfran, I don't feel so bad now that I haven't got anything done. I need to search for my dress next I think so as long as I've got a church and a dress then I'm happy.
mighty_mondo, that's a great theme for the wedding, very pretty and gives you a good choice of pastel colours for bridesmaid dresses etc.2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD

A woman I work with sorted her wedding in three months beginning to end, and swears by it because that way there isn't time for things to get out of hand - if you plan for two years the likelihood of sticking to your original budget is very small!
But then I'm not too bothered about colour schemes matching, what my bridesmaids hair looks like etc etc, so I don't really need a lot of time to plan!0 -

totally agree.....the less time you have the easier it is to stick to your original plans and not change them
It helps keep to within budget0
