Or wasn't at any of the following more like.
    2001 September the 11th
    2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake/Tsunami
    2005 Hurricane Katrina

2004 rings to me of disaster with 250,000+ losing their life, Kind puts some perspective on the use of the word I think.

Unless you think this is the

How does this recession rate in terms of disaster.

PS I will make sure you are not near the country I am holidaying next time.

I'm wondering who these 35 economists actually are.

How can we just about dodge the biggest disaster ever known, and have a slight blip, then (as we are seeing now) an upsurge in growth.

Sorry Really. I missed out the word "financial".

I didn't think I would have to include it as were on the discuss the economy board, and it was a response related to the recession we are currently in. I thought people would just "get it", you know?

Sorry to have confused you enough to now go off on a tangent relating what I said to Hurricanes and 9/11 etc.

LOL well seriously, that has to be one of THE most pedantic posts I have ever seen on my time on here!!

I'm sure however the "point" will be clinged onto for as long as possible and dragged out over several pages while anologies are discussed on charts / graphs where simply everyone is wrong and Gareth Gates not winning X factor proves to be the actual biggets disaster of all time.

It's either a case of being incredibly dumb, or acting incredibly dumb. I'll go 50/50.

I hope I haven't missed a word here somewhere, as I'd hate this post to be construed as me saying I like taking giraffes for a paddle in the local lake on a sunday afternoon.

I haven't got a clue what you are talking about. Are we into disaster comparison now? The thing that wiped out the dinosaurs was probably quite high up the list. Or maybe Spanish Flu. History is littered with disasters, and luckily for us, disaster movies to go along with them.

Sorry Really. I missed out the word "financial".

It was never the "biggest financial disaster ever" though was it, it was since the 20's

I pointed out you were being a complete drama queen as usual. Even if you used the word "financial" you were being a drama queen.
