I think we can be pretty certain VAT will rise to 20% or even 21%.
What we can also be certain of is that it won't happen before the election.
VAT has a definate possibility of being held at 15% through next year if we have not had an election before then.0 -

I believe some larger retailers were pushing for the date to be pushed back to 1st Feb. Though never any suggestion of a time extension.0 -
I can see it being pushed back to past the christmas sales. But, is there the cash in the coffers to afford this?0
