  • Hi bill,

I went on to the entitled to link.

I think these figuers are correct.

    £71.96 WTC
    £53.41 CTC
    £20.00 CB
    £79.15 SSP
    £224.52 Total income

    £25.57 rent
    £21.11 CT
£46.68 Leaving us £177.84 for gas electric and living expenses.

Question is if I went on to IS do you know how much I would get.

Looking at the above figures I would be better not claiming IS.

I have changed my circumstance at TCO a few times this year already ie hubby lost job I went off work sick. I am sure I have read somewhere here that if you change to much they stop your claim is this right.

I was confused before now I am totally confused. x

A crisis loan is like an emergency payment, if you have rent etc to meet and there could be problems if you don't pay, they may say no, but theres no harm in applying.

The good thing is the letter off your employer as it confirms your position and can be confirmed with the employer (apologies if that sounds double dutch), I don't know whether the council will accept the letter, but as the old saying goes, if you don't try you don't know.

Glad u've got the IS claim in progress xx

As a side note you can't be awarded a crisis loan for rent - its specifically an excluded item.

  • Your due £100.95 weekly form IS less your SSP.
  • Hi so I would be better just leaving it as it is then. x

    Hi,
sorry not been on for a wee while. it seems I am not entiltled to £71.96 WTC
£53.41 CTC as I would only be entitled to this next year if I was off sick for a year. X

    Hi
Back with another question. I went to see the welfare rights person yesterday I was informed that my husband should be claiming and receiving JSA as he was employed for 6 months before I became ill. Is this right.
