Sealy Posturepedic Ultra Memory Superior Double Mattress: £143.74 -poss misprice

Arrived yesterday and seems to be an excellent mattress, very high quality. The delivery person was quite amused with the whole thing, saying that Tesco has dropped a fortune on this one. They tried to negotiate a lower unit cost when they realised their mistake but the Sealy director dealing with it apparently left Tesco on less than favourable terms previously and wasn't having any of it. Worms my cockles to thing of tesco losing money on something.. just like when they sent me two couches when i only ordered one .... :-) Must have been buy one get one free ...0

Excellent bargain, mine just arrived. Probably the best delivery I have ever had, with two phone calls prior and one this morning to say they were running 1 hour early... Very friendly delivery crew who also wanted to know how much I paid for it

I have had my mattress delivered too and wanted to send my thanks to the op. I have Parkinsons and no longer work - have been trying to save for a new mattress (a decent one) and had just over £220 saved. So I have a lovely bed again and Christmas doesn't seem quite so scary moneyywise either.
Really was the best bargain I think I have managed to get :rotfl:0 -
I agree, I lurk here and there on MSE but rarely go for the bargains, I just use the occasional discount code here and there. This one I went for and it is the best one I have ever used! THANK YOU.The Head Honcho (does very little work)0

Thanks OP !!! I think for a lot of people on here this was the only way they would have been able to afford a (decent) mattress at all. I love a happy ending !

It is essential to use a mattress protector with memory foam mattresses, as it is very difficult to clean them if any fluids are spilled on them. However, make sure that the quilting is only thin if used with memory foam, as the memory foam needs your body heat to react with it in order to soften it and mould to your body.
I would recommend the use of a mattress protector with any mattress.0 -
