Rather implausible that Tesco and Sealy accounts departments will have shared commercial information with a 3rd party delivery company...
You would be surprised what gets passed around the work place.
Anyway it's nice to see that so many people got one over on Tescos.:T0 -
People working in the buying offices of large retailers are hardly sworn to secrecy.0

is this physiologically possible?I'm due to have a baby in a few days time and didn't want to miss the delivery.
Maybe this is specific to individual couriers or the amount of front you have, but my Tesco account is in the name of 'Conan the Barbarian' (it's a spamguard) and I've never had any problems with id's/deliveries.I asked them why OH could not have signed and they said sorry it is consignee only.
... So if you are planning on getting someone else to accept the delivery, I would ring them and check first. Hope this helps someone.0 -
oooooo mine just arrived, looks great, delivery men very pleasant and no problems in me signing even though order in hubbys name x0

Yes I did wonder about whether that was the case but it made me really cross. I buy a lot (too much, you could say) of things mail order and have never ever had this happen before, I usually get things delivered to my mum's house which is round the corner (obviously not a good idea for this item with it not fitting in the car) so am never there. It's not like my house has a shared front door or anything. Would they have lugged it all the way back to the depot if I had been in the church round the corner?
If I had been stuck in hospital for a week would it have gone back to sealy and my order cancelled? 0 -
Recevied mine yesterday. What a lovely mattress. This one is 25cms thick, my old one was 15cms. It's so comfy and had a great nights sleep. Was impressed also that they gave me a 2 hour delivery window. Really nice delivery drivers too. Mine arrived around midday and they had already delivered about 7. They said they start at 6am.
Many thanks to the OP for this great deal.0 -
