My reply from Sky. It will also explain why I didn't hear the warning on the screening I watched. No mention of how many complaints tho'

Dear xxxx
Thank you for contacting us regarding Bruce Almighty.
I am sorry that you were unhappy with Sky Movies decision not to remove this movie from our scheduling.
If I may explain that a verbal warning was due to broadcast preceding the showing of this film on New Year's Day. Unfortunately, due to a technical fault this did not go out. This verbal warning was to alert viewers to the fact that they may find a particular scene upsetting.
However, I can confirm that subsequent screenings of Bruce Almighty will have this information.
Once again, I am sorry that you were upset and thanks for taking the time to write to us. We always welcome viewer feedback and comments.
Kind regards

arrg, why is it that the people responsible for writing letters etc to customers are incapable of checking what they write for correct spelling/grammar?
"Sky Movies' decision", maybe?0 -

crana, can I recommend a book called Eats, Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss? It's a book described as the zero tolerance approach to punctuation.
Here's the blurb from the back ;)
A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots into the air.
"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.
"I'm a panda," he says, at the door. "Look it up."
The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds and explaination.
"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China, Eats, Shoots and leaves." ;D
p.s.... I,m not that grate at speling and punctuwaishun miyself :-[Just run, run and keep on running!0 -

heh, I got that for Xmas last year. I wasn't too impressed though and sold it on eBay (for more than mum paid for it
)
I struggle with grammar and other aspects of writing myself, but honestly, apostrophes are the easy part

Well said Sara.
The fact is probably millions of people watched the film and enjoyed it, but the usual picky easily offended minority ring/write and complain and usually win by getting it pulled or censored.
Not very democratic really.0
