Mine is because I try to be thrifty and I wanted my gender to be clear. I wish I had chosen Thriftgirl now because Thriftlady makes me feel a bit old especially with my crusty loaf avatar - people must think I look like Mrs Bridges from Upstairs Downstairs -mind you if I can remember Upstairs Downstair I suppose I am pretty old:rotfl:
I think Cookbookaddict might have been a good one for me too:D
I just wish I could edit it so that it has a capital T. I'm so anal about punctuation and it really bugs me!0 -
My Mum used to call me Teenie when I was younger and I forgot all about it until a friend started calling me Teenie too-I presume it comes from my real name being Kristine. The D bit is my surname."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0

As an aside, what happens on this forum if somebody suddenly decides they hate their original pseudonym and want to reregister under a new identity. Do they keep all their posting "medals" or have to go back to scratch and earn them all again?
Anyone point us to the answer?
I don't feel Newly Retired any more. I've got used to it now.0 -

My children were watching a Harry Potter film at the time, I've never actually watched any of the films myself.
Other names I tried were already taken. I have a different username on each forum I frequent.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Mine is just wishful thinking. I know he's taken but I can dream....0

Years ago my sister use to say "huston we have a problem" (apollo 13) and I'd reply "Elementary, my dear Watson" (Sherlock Holmes). The kw is my intials.
When we signed up for email accounts I choose huston_kw she choose watson_mw. I don't think she users hers anymore but I use mine for most accounts.

It was the first thing that came into my head when I signed up.
I'd just been sent one of those find your p0rn name emails and Glitzkiss was the result. When I signed up to MSE I never planned to post - in fact I only signed up to thank people on the freebies and competitions boards. As I couldn't be bothered to think of a suitable username I signed up as Glitzkiss. Then I found myself sucked into MSE world and I've been Glitzkiss ever since
As it sounds completely unlike me it's handy for keeping my anonimity:D And a few users on here make assumptions about me based on the username which always amuses me :rotfl:
