  • When I first was introduced to a lady called Sue (who is now a lifelong friend), I said "Hi, how are you?" to which she replied "Me? I'm like a swan, beautiful, serene and graceful to anyone that looks at me........... but underneath, I'm paddling like f***!!!"
I burst out laughing (she didn't look the type to say anything like that) and we've been friends for years now.... she's older than me, I call her Swannie and she calls me Swannette :-)

OH was into WWE wrestling and there was a big butch wrestler called The Glamazon. He used to call me it for a laugh as there's nothing big and butch about me. :rotfl:

Use it for allsorts inc, my fantasy football team, my ds, my wii username
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Ailuro is short for ailurophile, someone who's mad about cats - the 2 on the end is because I couldn't remember my password when I was simply Ailuro, and the system wouldn't e-mail it to me, so I just joined again - hence Ailuro2.

Mine comes from Amanita Muscaria - the very pretty but highly poisonous red and white spotted mushroom - also explains my sig here.
  • Didn't put much thought into it. My wife and I wanted to post started a mortgage free thread so it made sense to have Mr and Mrs names to avoid confusion. Things like MrsC weren't available so we added on a number (like Master Chief in Halo). :)
Mortgage overpayments since November 08: £32,500 - balance is now £81,200
On a Lifetime tracker +0.38% repayment mortgage
Hope to be Mortgage free by 2015! (or maybe 2014 if the rates stay low.....)

I've used mine since the days of BBS & 1200/75 baud modems. Can't remember why I picked it but I use it on all the forums that I frequent where possible

  • My comes from when I first got a computer and couldn't think of a user name and I was a nanny and my young charges name was Rebecca and this was shortened to Becky boo hence the Boo part of the name.

I have been a member for a while but never really make use of the site. I very occasionally post (bet its under 5 times).

Mine is a nickname an online penfriend from New Zealand gave me, and I've used it ever since. It's a take on the books 'Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy', written by New Zealand writer. My penfriend was retraining to be an English teacher at the time. Sary is also a short nickname of my real name, Sarah, that some friends and family have used.

I use it on virtually every forum I'm a member of, and online sites too as my name. I often get people who message me on Facebook, having seen me in a friends list of other MSE'ers asking if I'm Sarymclary. I frequently get misquoted as being 'Scary', which makes me smile.
