My lovely OH (bless him) has been nosing over my shoulder when I'm using MSE (grrrrrrr is nothing sacred).
Saying stuff like'You should book mark this site it looks really useful'
Errr. ok (But I already have). He's had a look through the forums at the sensible stuff and says he will join shortly.
Then he came away with the little gem. 'I wonder how everyone chose their user names'.
Care to elaborate anyone, (pretty please lol)

Mine is a bit of an odd one :rotfl:
I was messing about with status shuffle on facebook one day and came across one that said 'is secretly a platypus called marvin'.
Seeing as though im female i thought matilda would sound better than marvin
Anyway it sort of stuck and my username on facebook was Matilda Platypus for a very long time :rotfl: (it isnt any longer though!)
My username on another forum was Princess and between the two of them i became Princess Platy:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

For various sites i've done different things, maybe old addresses, jobs. or pets; here i go dinghy sailing so got the Sailor and Sam seemed to just roll off the tongue.
Also when i've needed a password or name i've gone through the list on here of Members and something that surrounds original and maybe the person hasn.t been on-line in years, well i'll steal it.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Mine's from a daft name I used to use when I wanted extra free samples of stuff! Before OH and I lived together I used to use his address and then make up a first name beginning with M (same as his) plus his surname - Maggie, Marge, Maureen, Millie. That now sounds very weird0

Two theories:
a. I love the Bowie album and have Ziggy Stardust artwork in my living room
or...
b. I am, in actual fact, an alien rock star"I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderful."
