Ok, here are the choices, with what makes them good/bad.

English - A bit pointless since I'm studying it with the OU, but on the other hand it will make the OU course easier.

Government and politics - The masters I want to do is 'Activish and Social Change' so some knowledge of the social sciences will help, and I'm very much into politics so should find it interesting and fun.

Psychology - Might help me understand my situation more, but a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. On the other hand, I remember when I did my A levels overhearing people revising, and because of my time in the mental health system I knew all the drugs etc they were talking about, so I should find it easy.

Sociology - Same as politics really, again the topics sound really interesting.

Of course some of them could be full already. There's also the problem that they want to see GCSE certificates - well I did mine 12 years ago and the certs are filed away somewhere at dad's. Hopefully being a mature student will help, and I can take copies of my OU course records to show I can cope with study. I might have my other A level certs here somewhere though.
Have you seen a breakdown of the topics covered in each course. Sounds like politics or sociology would be front runners cos you're interested whether the othe 2 just kind of fit with other things in your life...

who would like the challenge of helping me (doing it for me) write a letter to the CRB telling them that they are a bunch of bum bums and their 'targets' stink and that they talk out of their arrises:D

Sorry if I'm being thick but what's CRB and what do you need from them?

Oh no Snaggles, what's happened now?

    Toto, that's really strange.

I think I've decided on politics or sociology, because it's more of an interest thing, if I go for English then I'll feel under pressure to do really well, and psychology is probably too much of a busman's holiday.

So I'll go in and see when the lessons are and which fits best.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
