I'm Back!!! And toyuched and suprised by the concern at my absense.:j
Monday, Job Centre. Horrible! Still have no intention of giving me any money. BUT...lady I saw about the actually looking for work was a darling, said she wanted to take me home and look after me, and agreed all sorts of cons\cessions to give me time to be more settled before I am under too much pressure to 'take a job any job'. However that also looks like it might be working out, more news tio follow.
And yes, I have spent a lovely couple of days being well looked after by another forumite who had fed me a weeks food in 2 days, and made my face ache from smiling and laughing so much.
Can't plan tomorrow, but for tonight FAITH IS HAPPY:j:beer::T0 -
It's lovely to hear you sounding so cheerful! (If you can 'hear' someone on a forum, that is. You know what I mean, though!)
I'm sorry the job centre experience was so unpleasant for you. It sounds to me like they're being pretty unreasonable, but I don't pretend to know any of the details so maybe it all makes sense to them, even if it doesn't to anyone else.
At least there was one nice person there, though - I find that one nice person can make all the difference, sometimes, so I really hope she'll be able to help you out.
Back after a very long break!0 -
Good news! There will be some happy people around here. Can't decide if we're all just flaming nosy or geuinely concerned!;)

Goooood stuff. A face ache in such a manner is such a joyful, and memorable happy pain :T:Tfaithcecilia wrote: »Actually, Faith has just drunk rather a lot of wine and is now crying:o but hey ho, thats life innit??

Hi Faith
Hope we dont all lead you too far astray into our "secular" ways - thinks: hangovers....;)
Anyway...glad you're being looked after and that you met that nice woman at the JobCentre.
Please do post up your details re claiming on the Benefits Board on here and see what advice you get re that benefit claim. Another possibility is that they say you are due for nowt because of not having paid NI stamps - but that would still leave you due for Income Support (whatever its called these days....ie the type of benefit one gets paid regardless of NI stamps). Hopefully - by the sound of it you wont need benefit for long - fingers crossed:D - but best to try and get it anyways for the time that you do.
Now....on a different tack....what was that phrase you used in an earlier post here about "If this is how God treats his friends - no wonder he doesnt have many".......<cough> ahem <cough>
- I dont use the same "language" you do - but from where I'm standing....I think you're getting pretty well looked after in most respects (those benefit problems excepted....).....and you thought you'd been "abandoned".......I dont think you have.....there is a purpose to this and you are going to be okay...:D0 -

This is a quote foqm St Teresa of Avila, the 16th century foundress of the order I have just left. While she was founding her convents everything that could possibly go wrong did, and then some. Her writing style is remarkably funny if you read it, and is full of such comments.0 -

so glad for you!
and never mind the tears, that's all part of life and too much wine!
thanks for letting us know you are ok. i think we were just concerned because a lot of us have been in similar emotional places, whatever the reasons, and were simply worried for you.
i've certainly found it comforting and inspiring that if i were ever in that sort of need again, or anyone else, there are possibly people on this forum who would at least listen with an open heart. that's an amazing thing to remember.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0
