These offers are around each year but as has been pointed out you have to be careful what size tins they are.
If these are really 1.1Kg then that works out at just over 27p per 100g.
I always buy when I find them at 29p per 100 g or better so this deal is a good 'un!!:T

(using a price per 100g allows me to assess offers on all pack sizes and exercises my brain at the same time)!:rotfl:
    Good eh!:T

I understand the logic, but how did you arrive at the price for analysis? Am very intrigued!

  • You have to watch the Co-Op. They come across all nicey nicey caring and sharing on the TV advert when in reality they are anything but when you step in store.
  • ask the manager and make sure the sales assistant scans them. Thats how I managed to get mine as they werent marked up
  • Lots of tins in my co-op, but SET says £8 each, no signage to indicate a BOGOF. I daren't ask them, the staff in there are the most hopeless bunch and it will probably cause them to meltdown if they have to sort it out. the queues are long enough when they are dealing with straightforward bread & milk transactions!

So I'm hoping some signage will arrive (or perhaps they will find it at the back of the stockroom) tomorrow....!

Never mind that, which do you prefer!!! :rotfl:

I'll be going for Celebrations (and maybe a few for pressies) :D

p.s. It's a good thing that the signs aren't up in most stores as this will enable us MSEers to get 'em before they sell out!!! :T

We got our signs up about 10am, but we made them ourselves so I'm not sure if the stores got any pos/ they've all lost it as we're not used to week long offers. They are flying off the shelves though and I don't think any more stock will be delivered now.
  • just been to get them....loads still there in my local and its advertised well. Got one quailty st and one celebrations and btw the celebrations box is a good plastic one which it says you can microwave and freeze. very useful for a cake decorator! (me) I'll tell my hubby thats why i bought them....

2 tins at 1.1 kg each equals 2200g of chocolate for £8.

So 800p divided by 2200 then multiplied by 100 gives you a price per 100g.

In this case, unit value is 36p/100g.

Isn't it 27.5p per 100g, hence the comment about cheaper than 29p/100g-which is the comment I was actually wondering about!

Why is 29p/100g or less the reason for good value flossy_splodge? how was that figured arrived at?

Got Roses today in Co-Op. VERY small font A4 sign in the window stating no more than 6 tins per customer, no POS in store.
