A question for the regulars planning to buy houses

I was hoping to buy this year, expecting my first :T, and in full nesting mode. We have a deposit together, and a mortgage in principle from HSBC. There are properties that are just within reach. My husband calls them rabbit hutches, but I just say come on Big Bunny lets make it our home. He used to laugh at this and hug me, but now he just seems depressed all the time. He spends a lot of time on MSE and has discovered a guru called Graham something and follows his every word. Apparently now is not the time to buy as they are going to continue dropping.
I tell him that Mrs. Chucky up the road says they are going to rocket and we will miss the boat if we don't get a shift on. No way do I want our first born to be brought up in rented accomodation. OH says if it was good enough for Jesus it's good enough for us.0 -

Unemployment will reach 6 million in this country in a few years, so I wouldn't rush into anything.

I don't know ... I was relying on the Members' Photos (not Member Photos) .. but they weren't prolific. I'm as shallow as anything, so holding out for something tangible (copies of bank statements + 3 good photos)0 -

I think mewbie is secretly a famous scriptwriter. Oh how we'll laugh when we find out.
We're all characters in his next 12-part comedy series. Hey - mewbs, I can play myself.... only I can deliver my lines correctly.0 -
