I have a 2 bed house, shared ownership. Two parking spaces. I do, however, have a loft.
Can I go back on the list!?
I've put you on the reserves.0 -

It's not quite shiny new. Like Cleaver, I'm down with it, and as I too have bought scruffy jeans, I thought I'd do the same with a house.

Do you literally not know what's out the back of your house? How exciting. You could open your back door and find a jungle. Or a set of singing swans. Or a series of blue cats floating in brine.0 -

That's what I do find.
And I did go out there once and found a snake.
So generally I sh*t my knickers about the thought of going out there now.
Last owner just slabbed it all over. I could go out there and just, well, I dunno, spose theres a whole load of fun times I'm missing with a garden full of slabs and nothing else.
Could build a wall I guess.0 -

Well don't bang on about "being a mortgage slave" and then deny you have one.0 -
I'm going out for a run. If Graham kills Dan in a fit of pure rage can someone fill me in on the details later? Cheers.
By the way, are you aware you're in negative equity Graham? Just thought I'd point that out. That can happen when you buy a flat though.0 -
For me it purely down to affordability.I know what I can afford to borrow for a mortgage together with my deposit currently £35k.Mortgage would be £90k so I need to look at houses around £125k.
I need to stay in the area due to my business, alas at present cheap mid terraced houses are going for £180k.
I am a realist so if it happends it happends if it doesn't then I will still live my life, thats more important to me.
Believe it or not my main reason for wanting to buy is purely down to being able to "stamp my identity" on it as Im a joiner(nice hand built kitchen, small conservatory, hand made doors etc etc etc, rather than any future increase in value.
I have looked into shared ownership but its just not for me..
Also looked for self builds groups but they seem to be a thing of the past....Land prices are the main barrier. It always use to be land was 30% of the build cost, now its nearer 100%0
