couple of good ideas here! You have done the right and honest thing, I would keep the woolworths lot, cancel the LX lot, and if Woolworths ask for theirs back ask if you can pay them what you would have paid LX. I did see the original thread but not sure what the price difference is between Woolies and LX.
I personally think Ms London is being a bit harsh. You haven't stolen - a genuine mistake has been made and you would have to be made of stone (or perfect!) if someone in your financial shoes didn't have a fleeting moment of insanity and hoped that no-one noticed the mistake.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Hey lynz.
Well done you for ringing them up. I would have rung them as these things have a nasty habit of catching up with you if you think you've "got away with it".
But ironically, sometimes when you are up front & honest, you then do get something out of it in the long run (I have experience of this but not going into detail here!!) they may not bother to collect the stuff (you should make a few polite phone calls to remind them...telling them it's causing you hassle in storage)...then if they don't bother to collect it hooray bonus, you can sell it on.
That way no-one can say you didn't try.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

I would make sure you have proof that you have asked them to collect it; keep any emails that you send them (infact, print off this thread!) & then you're covered. Phone calls have an uncanny knack of not being logged.
Give them a deadline; if they haven't collected it by a certain date then you will consider it a gift & keep it. That should spur them into action & if not.....0 -
Hi Lynz!
Just wanted to emphasise my support for your original decision to purchase the stuff for your flat. In fact, your other thread ran along the lines of 'oh help, I can't bear spending money...' :rotfl: , so not reckless or unthinking at all, quite the opposite. You can obviously stand up for yourself perfectly well but didn't want to leave my support unsaid.
I hope that you receive the LX one soon (although didn't it promise a much shorter delivery time than woolies?!) and that we have some lovely weather for you to enjoy the garden. If Woolies never bother to pick their property up then so much the better

Ms London - What I meant was that that I was with the majority of others on here saying that lynzpower should contact Woolies and let them know. Really upset that you took my comments any other way0 -
lynzpower wrote:Tes, basically, Im keeping the LX one, when it eventually arrives. If I get stuck with the woolworths one cos they cant be bothered to collect, I might give the woolies one to you, or any other DFW who needs/wants one!! :rotfl:The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

thanks to all, again ( where IS the thanks button!!)
The LX one has arived this morning ( handy 7.30 delivery slot)
Problem is with woolies you cant keep copies of the emails, as its all dont through some message system on thier webiste ( bit like Pms)
I'll give them a week to collect. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Hi Lynz,
Which one do you like best or are they both the same?
scottishspendaholic xMBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
Bank of Scotland = £2,782.830 -
both the same except the LX one comes with parasol:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
