Panda, completely agree with you about spending. If you follwed the umming and ahhing over the last thread, its simply not an option to leave my flat so bare and without furniture.
I find it hard to spend the money out of the lodgers account (theres a seperate account specifically for this) quite difficult being both on & off the wagon at the same time IYSWIM. OH looks after the card & doenst know the pin, so I cant buy anything without him quizzing me to death can we get it cheaper. And of course, I have to run my decision-making across you lot too just to be sure myself Im doing the right thing. Its difficult though, I bought some light fittings the other day I was shaking handing my card over.
By next month, I will have paid for everything that the flat needs, and wont need to spend on it again till the final tarting it up in Jan to put it on the market, I anticipate very little. Everything else she brings in is split between debt & saving for solicitors fees etc with buying our new smaller, cheaper place
Dont worry gang, Im still very much a DFW!:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...

What are you going to do if you end up with 2 lots of garden furniture? I think you should keep very quiet about it now and wait to see what happens. You will know if a few months go by that they have forgotten about it and then maybe you can sell it or are you going to cancel LXThe forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Lynzpower it sounds like you did the right thing. Unpack them use them, be happy, and if they ever turn up to collect them then tell them they're outside lol.
If your LX ones turn up now maybe you should return them or resell them? I dunno, what a saga lol0 -

Tes, basically, Im keeping the LX one, when it eventually arrives. If I get stuck with the woolworths one cos they cant be bothered to collect, I might give the woolies one to you, or any other DFW who needs/wants one!! :rotfl::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? but I think that Woolies have 6 months to come and collect it......after that, if they haven't bothered then I think legally you can keep it.2014 Target;

But is it not £6K tax free. It is only £4250 per year tax free you are suppose to pay tax on the rest.

Well done Lynz - I think you did the right thing and might end up being very lucky here!
This might be slightly unethical to suggest (and please don't flame me anyone - its just a suggestion) - but if you do end up with 2 pairs, could you sell one, once you are sure Woolies aren't going to collect? I'm sure event £20/£30 would come in very handy?
