Bookie - :T You've achieved lots today....a great start to the week.

DH got busy on the phone to sort some issues out today...

Complaint made to insurance company over drawn out issues over replacing water damaged floor - the CEO's PA called and apologised, it's being dealt with. :T

Our holiday in Cornwall has been transfered to my Aunt and Uncle - there's no way we can go which is sad but we'll cope.

Gas fitter booked to come and install a new vent so that fire can be turned on.

    Dishwasher repair people called.

Benefits agency called for advice - very helpfull they were too.

Council called for advice re HB and CTB - as DH is in so much pain, they're coming out to do a house call and collect info. :T:T

Finally got a refund on DH's glasses that were naff.

(we'll gloss over the humdinger of a row with DD1 - she's now being very apologetic)

    Phew....

Wow, busy day Pooky! Sounds like it was all productive though (even the argument with DD, if her apology includes making cups of tea and things for you!)
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

if something is 18 carat white gold 100 microns and silver - is that 'real' white gold? Or plate? I am looking for a cheap replacement pair of earrings following the one i lost yesterday and I don't want plate as I'm allergic. I know white gold is some kind of dip/mix metal but I wasn't sure about this description.

hmmm......maybe I should buy good old yellow gold just in case! Or perhaps just not bother buying another pair and let the holes close. I don't have a load of earrings so perhaps it isn't worth replacing them. Looked at Argos, Samuels and Ernest Jones and even the cheap (and a bit nasty!) ones are around £10 a pair. I'd like to wear funky, fashionable, cheap and cheerful ones but my ears get red and itchy.

And with all my hair it's not as if they can even be seen :rotfl:
