    Happy new Diary!!!!

At work they say im 22 going on 82 so I can understand that. ;)
I've subscribed again and look forward to following your progress.
And as for positive affirmations. I try ''everyday in everyway im getting stronger and stronger'' - just a suggestion for you to consider!

I also know what you mean about an emergency fund. I dont have one either- so desperatly need one. This is something that worries me. Everything urgent gets banged on the overdraft. :(

I too worked in finance - well a bank anyway - people always then wonder how I got in such a mess! :)

Well done on taking your lunch to work, dont worry about the £1.60 at least you'll learn from it. Just take a little extra next time. ;)

Im not really sure what to tell you about cleaning for your colleague. It really is a tough one as it may make it awkward? So many possibilities for stuff to go wrong (sorry - negative) dont know whether its worth it? But thats just my opinion! :) You obv dont have to listen we're all different after all!! :)

The wizard of Oz barbies sound cool! :T But Paralympic Becky had me rolling. :rotfl: The things they think of. They all sound very kooky and groovy. I actually quite like the idea of car-booting. Dont ask me why!!?? I have no idea. Lol.

Glad to see your well on your way though and great news with the weight loss. I have four stone to lose and am just starting my diet today!! :D

    Wish me luck! :o

  • Ok September, here's the challenge; there's 100 days till xmas (as well you know!) which is just over 14 weeks, I challenge you (and myself) to lose 21 pounds (minimum) we need to think of a prize for the winner........

I know what you mean about it might be awkward, and what if I'm a pants cleaner and she wants to get rid but feels she can't, I've been thinking it over and over and over.........she's a really good friend so I text her the following "I will ask you by text cos its less embarrassing! If you are looking for a new cleaner I can offer my services, if it would be too weird or awkward I won't be upset if you say no thanks! See you tomorrow x"

We'll see, I can see the only positive for me is the money, the negative would be if it changed our friendship, I don't want her to feel like she should take me on, so I will chat to her face to face tomorrow, I just wanted the intitial embarrassment of "I would love to clean your house for money" out of way by text!!

I can't even find another paralympic Becky so I think I need to get hold of a specialist dealer..........when I get it out I will post a photo, its brilliant!!!

    Cheers!

  • Hi WBDF. Good luck on your diary.

I have an observation, and you can shoot me down if you like, but you say in your first post that you want to get rid of all the negativity bringing you down. Can I suggest you change the motto in your sig? 'I am trying really hard, but it never seems enough!' really does strike me as negativity, and if you look at the every time you post on here then you are surely not going to inspire positivity?

I will subscribe and look forward to reading your continuing decline of debts.

Nope, didn't shoot you down, thats been my sig since I joined the site years ago, and you're totally right it wasn't a positive one and maybe its the reason I am in a worse situation than I was all those years ago......I am a positive person generally apart from when it comes to myself ........I've changed it, what do you think??? Its from a website of affirmations so its very 'american' but it will do until I find one that really fits!!! :D

  • Ok, part of one of my assignments is done, not much but it'll get there!! :o

DS came home with a letter about a trip to Germany (he's taking German as a GCSE) its a bit of a jolly (they claim its for the kids to appreciate greman culture! ;)) the week before xmas, 3 nights including to Fantasialand, the Lindt chocolate museum (mmmmmmmm:EasterBun) and a visit to the xmas markets. Its £180 ..........SO I NEED TO EARN MORE MONEY!!!!!

eBay items will be sorted as soon as my assignments are finished (I keep getting sidelined so really do need to get them done, 7 days till I need to post 'em!!!) I only ever got to go on one foreign trip the whole time I was at school (my mom could never have afforded it) so I want my kids to have the experiences I have never had so its important to me that he goes, even if it means soliciting myself.......... :rotfl:

OMG ive been looking for an excuse to use that chocolate emoticon and you beat me to it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!!

These things do cost a lot of money, I could never go on the ones at my school either (any of them!) as my parents couldnt afford it. They were also saddled in debt and still are - Im actually quite pleased that Im doing something about mine even if I cant convince them too!
I do agree though that it will be really good fun for him and he will enjoy it and it will be well worth finding the money (or making the money) for!

Well done on sorting out the first bit of your assignments - the first step is always the most difficult after all so now your well on the way!
    :T

    Keep up the brill work...
Off to figure out this signature thing now...
