I am starting again, I am new to this diary malarky but my attitude today has changed, I can't promise it's going to be smiles all the time but I need to be more positive, I and only I can stop this negativity that is dragging me under, I have grabbed myself by the shoulders and given myself a good shake........so here's all about me;
I am going to say a positive affirmation every morning and every evening until I believe it, just need to find one that inspires me!
- 33 years young (feel 23 some days and 73 others!)
- 3.5 stone lighter than this time last year:Thalf way to my goal
- 2 fantastic kids DS 14 and DD 12 (nearly 13)
- I am in the lucky position to actually love my current job, but I am looking into teacher training for Sept '10
- Currently doing an OU degree 90 points to go (2 courses starting in Oct)
- Been with my OH for 17 years - wish he would help me more but I can't change him so I have to stop stressing about it and just get on with it
- NSD 4/12
- GC £104.41/£200 :eek: need to be more careful for the rest of the month
- 3 items listed on eBay
- Charges refund letters sent to Nationwide and Natwest
- Letter sent to CTC re: underpayment for 06-07 and 07-08 tax years
- £25 extra earnt doing cleaning
- Withdrawing a set amount of cash each week and writing down every penny I spend - my debit card is no longer my friend

I am going to say a positive affirmation every morning and every evening until I believe it, just need to find one that inspires me!
I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true

I really am trying, but as you can see I have no emergency fund so I need to look at this, this is how it all goes horribly wrong, e.g. last year the car needed about £650 worth of stuff doing over the year, I had to pay on the CC's............so the spiral continues...........but I will not be doing that from now on..........EVER!I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0 -

I need to look into this, what is the time frame, cos they actually put PPI on my Nationwide CC years ago without me knowing and when I noticed it one month I phoned and cancelled it but I will have to dig out my old statements (good job I hoard everything!) or can I just get them to tell me how much I paid over the years? (I've never had PPI on anything else - I used to work in finance (ironically) and the mortgage adviser I worked with always told me not to bother!!)
EDIT: Just went through my statements, my last payment was in Oct 2007, I even said to them at the time of cancelling it "No wonder my debt hasn't been going down" I was paying up to £32 per month, for the 06-07 statements it adds up to £279+ so I will definately look into reclaiming, how do I find out how much more I'e paid, I must have shredded all the 05 stuff at the start of the year, I tend to keep 4 years of stuff in my box.I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0 -

I don't plan on having emergencies, but then does anyone???!!!

WOOHOO.......I sold one of my three eBay items for the buy it now price of £7.50........well chuffed!
Took my leftovers from yesterday to work for lunch, but ended up spending £1.60 in the canteen as well.........:mad:..........
A close friend and work colleague was complaining about her cleaner today and that she's thinking of getting a new one, would it be odd if I offered my services?? Should I cross the friend boundary and become an employee of hers?? I could certainly do with the money at the moment but it will mean doing annual self employment tax returns which I truly hate!! I would have to make sure that I was putting the tax into a seperate account too else it'll just get spent :rolleyes: decisions, decisions......
Got a pork casserole in the oven as we speak, and a trip to Lidl's planned for later (just for a few bits that are cheaper than anywhere else) while my son is at cadets (I have never driven home in between as it saves me about 16 miles to sit in the car reading for 1.5 hrs....not much fun in the winter I can tell you, I sit there hat, scarf, gloves, handwarmers.....:rotfl:.....just need some thermal long johns!)
Going to attempt to make some cheese and onion pasties some time soon for the kids lunches, a little scared but I'll have a go!! xI believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0 -
Oh, and another thing......had my letter from Natwest about charges, they say that if I am deemed as 'hardship' they will change my account, remove all debit facilities etc, now I don't actually use this account any more (well its od but nothing goes in or out of it!!!), but will it effect my credit file if they do that??I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0

Dagnammit, it was all going so well..........until my casserole spilled over in my oven and the oven now stinks of 'burntness' :eek: any MSE tips of how to get this welded mess off my oven??? :think: PANTS!!!! :rotfl:I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0

Ok, MSE stuff today;
- Have decided to text my friend tomorrow and offer my cleaning services - she is aware that I need the money but I don't know if she didn't ask me in case I got offended - I panic too much about getting caught out so will declare it!! :A
- Have just filled in the PPI letter, so will post that tomorrow using one of my manky old stamps that I found in my purse the other day!! :T
I actually have some collectors barbies........don't ask........I fell in love with The Wizard of Oz barbies, and while watching for a cheap set to come up on eBay - 9 years ago - I found loads of unusual ones, never spent more than £10 including p&p, so I reckon there could be some profit in my loft - there's even a 'paralympic becky - friend of barbie' in a racing wheelchair......I kid you not!!! :rotfl:They couldn't bring themselves to put barbie in a wheelchair but its ok for her to have a diasbled friend!!! The only ones I would never get rid of would be the Wizard of Oz ones, the rest were bought purely as an investment!!! Although the biggest profit would probably be the WofOz ones I could never part with them, they are too beautiful!!I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0 -
Hi WBDF. Good luck on your diary.
I have an observation, and you can shoot me down if you like, but you say in your first post that you want to get rid of all the negativity bringing you down. Can I suggest you change the motto in your sig? 'I am trying really hard, but it never seems enough!' really does strike me as negativity, and if you look at the every time you post on here then you are surely not going to inspire positivity?
I will subscribe and look forward to reading your continuing decline of debts.LBM February 2008. DFD March 2013 19 August 2011Debt at LBM £14,395.48. Debt Now £00
