    :T:T:T:T:T:T:T Well done thats fantastic.
Im admitting defeat I cant get photoshop or illustrator to load on my laptop for me so gonna sit in the corner and cry ! He isnt finished yet trying to get her aslepp for an hour and sew him up then but I did see in HB a reindeer or a Teddy with hats and a fleece pram blanket for £3.99 so might go back later

I was up for hours last night and I couldn't get photoshop to load on my laptop (to do the elf passport) either.. I managed to load "Serif Photoplus SE". I was able to change the text but couldn't add my own photo - I ended up printing my photos off and glueing them on!!

would someone please be able to help me with the elf passport as I have tried for ages now and don't seem to be getting anywhere.

Also harib0uk just wanted to say your journal is excellent, can I ask how you did it?

If you would like to send me a picture of your elf and the details you want on the passport I'll happily do it and email it back to you.

The journal I made in Illustrator, the idea came from http://www.elf-magic.com/docs/press/Elf-Magic-Memory-Book.pdf and as you can see it's not too different.. I'm not very creative but I can copy pretty good :p I took pictures of our elf in various positions then in photo shop I removed the back ground. Placed them in Illustrator and arranged how I thought was best. I searched for ages to try and find free cute elf clip art but had no luck then had the brain wave of taking the pictures.
WOW!! This is absolutely fabulous!! You are so very very clever! Can I ask which program you used to create this please! I would love to try and do something like this! Your LO is very lucky!

    See above Illustrator and Photoshop

    Hi everyone,

I really want to do this with my son this year, but I can't find an elf anywhere, can anyone give me any ideas where I can get one ??

    thanks

I Got Emily from Tesco... the larger one for £5 she's not strictly an elf but is pretty close and better than all the other elf's I have seen!

Happy to do it for you.. but you might just be trying to open the file when what you need to do is "place" it in, import it or open from with in illustrator/photoshop... a pdf file will always open in adobe reader, but if you fire up your program and then from with in the program open the file it should work
Trying to make a better life.... If you need me you'll find me at the allotment.

Well i was up till 1,00am sewing blankets and pillows for Reggie the reindeer which i forgot all about!!! It was all worth it when the kids saw Peppermint had returned he'd bought thier advent calenders and some new gloves as it was sooo cold. DD can't stop talking to them and has allready wrote in his book which I had a good laugh at, and then when we got home we saw Reggie had left a little present for us in his basket - he dd look sheepish and DD's had a word with him!!! She then read in the journal that magic reindeer poo is quite tasty as happily cleaned it up although her brother did say he felt sick.........wonder what mischief will occur tonight.

Well our elf has arrived!! The kids are sooooooo excited and it was lovely to see them so happy! Even though I am so shattered from being up most of the night trying to get it all done it was worth the lack of sleep!

Have put a couple of pictures Jollys blog

Now I just need to find something for them to do tomorrow! ... I also need to think of some mischief for him to get into on his first night ... maybe riding down the banister or something?

Finished my elf, here he is:

    Picture019.jpg

kids only just had him as I only started him yesterday so had to finish him today but so far they have asked him lots of questions and shown him all their toys and are now snuggled under blankets with him watching a film!!!!

Now all I have to do is find stuff for them to do!!!

Good idea about the banister RustyFlange, might have to take of photo of that later!!

This was DS's dressing up outfit 2 years ago (he was quite small for his age then!) and we have a christmas party at work which has prizes for best dressed ... I kept this costume in the keep sake box and dragged it out for DD this year, I plan to put 3 buns on the top of her head and decorate with tinsel/ribbon/bells in her hair!! ....
