Evening all
cloudier and cooler here today but still fine so got some washing dry.
Went to the concert last night and it was an absolutely lovely evening, it was cold by the end of the evening though, although we were well wrapped up. The firework display was the best yet!
Been to a wedding fair today with DD1 booked the wedding cars and think may have found the "cake lady" so fairly well organised now, think we might be able to ease off the wedding stuff for a while now as main things are all booked so we can leave details to nearer the time I think
Whilst we were at the fair DH went blackberry picking and I have come back to a sink full of beautiful blackberries but unfortunately not sure what I am going to do with them. I would love to try making jam but don't have any of the equipment (or jars) so looks like may have to make some crumbles to freeze.
((((Hugs))))) especially PP
Happy Anniversary Lamewolf and Rosyred

Thanks for your kind messages, and NPM I have replied to your pm.
Now that I have asked for a referral school is being very supportive, his new class teacher and the head are keen to work together to try to sort things out (unlike his teacher last year who was a completely different story!)
What I don't understand is why he is only really bad in school. OK he has his moments at home, but he isn't that bad. And for example this morning he went to Sunday school which is an hour and a half long, the first part in the church hall and then into the church service for a blessing, and he was as good as gold.
I guess eventually it will all be sorted out.
In the meantime I have picked 1lb of blackberries and am hoping for some more free apples to make some jam.0 -
Belated happy birthday PenPin.
Have had a lovely day to-day....made 2 pavlovas and a huge apple sponge this morning and then went to brother's for a barbecue at 3, took a pavlova and the sponge as my contribution. We had a lovely meal and sat in the warm sun until after 6 when it started to get a bit chilly, then came home and have done nothing since except browse on MSE...off to bed soon to prepare for a busy week of doing an Autumn clean before we go to Sardinia on 28th...if weather stays fine it will be nice to throw windows open to let in lots of fresh air...almost looking forward to it!
Sleep well all
