Thanks for this thread folks. I will eventually have 2 trigger sprays when the trial stuff runs out and have been wondering if I can use them for something else...
    What Would Bill Buchanan Do?
  • After dragging all the baby stuff out of the shed where it has been stored for the past few months I have noticed that there is mildrew/mold on the pram material which is on the pram so cannot be taken off & washed. Has anyone any ideas what will shift this without damaging the material?? -
Also I intend on washing the cover in the washing machine as this can be removed - anything I can add to the wash?

Need to get this off and looking as good as new as intend on selling baby stuff for much needed funds. Thanking you in advance. x
  • - Part deux - spot oil stains on a top from cooking - how to remove? Have tried the usual dab on roll on stain removers but these are stubborn stains...

Try putting some talc on the oily bit and then a thin cloth. Iron on hot. The talc should absorb the oil.

I fill my bottles with water and a good squirt of washing up liquid. Use as a shower spray
  • Hi there, have heard of the miracles that vinegar and bicarb of soda can do and want to try them for myself.

I share a flat with dirty hairy people and the shower drain is always geting blocked. Fancy plug unblockers work ok, but the effect is not long lasting enough to justify the £4 spent. So, does it work? And most importanlty, how do I go about doing it?

Also, will eitherr/both of these products work on the shampoo scumaround the edges?

    Hi,

Please be gentle if I'm not posting this in the right place....

I'm looking for an old style solution I can make up in a sprayer and use to clean general surfaces around the house - wood, top of the telly etc. - rather than bathroom/kitchen. Will vinegar and something do the trick? Also can anyone suggest some essential oils which would be good to make the house smell nice and stay hygeinic?

    Thanks for your help :o)

Hi, I wonder if any one could advise me?

My anti bac spray ran out so i filled the bottle with baby sterilizing fluid made to 2x recommended strength. Then I started to wonder how long this would keep for as i know for bottles they say discard after 24 hours.
Does any one know if it will continue to be effecive over a few weeks like the 'real' anti bac spray?

    Thanks!

Made some plum jam the other day and the sugar burnt on the bottom. Have tried bicarb which got rid of some of it but there is still some there. Any ideas please?

Zziggi, THIS is where you will find the answers to vinegar related questions you didn't even know you needed to ask :rotfl:

TBH I don't dilute my vinegar, A few drops of essential oil should be enough, but experiment to find a mix you are happy with. Have to say that since OH announced that the vinegar smell was "really clean and hygenic smelling" I don't add oils for basic cleaning either he smell goes very quickly.

Bicarb might work for the tea stains?
Better toget rid of the tea stains, is white block. or eraser white block, 1pound in poundstore

Anyone got any ideas for getting rid of a water mark on a varnished dining room table (a plant pot got put on it without a coaster underneath )? TIA.
