    I took ours off and put them in the wash with the rest of the seat etc... the seat came out like new but the straps still looked manky so washed them again and used stain remover stuff but still no cleaner..... I'm interested to read your replies ;)

    I used to put removable ones in the washing machine, and use bleach on the attached ones. just rinsed well.

    ps - what kinda of high chair is? mine I was able to unscrew the seat with the attached straps, remove the hard board that was the back support and put it in washing machine.

    milton made up for cleaning, soak a facecloth or teatowel in it, and wrap it around them, and leave them to soak.

    i used to do mine by soaking inbio liquid then washing in the machine hth
    onwards and upwards

    mine get really bad (mainly because my highchairs been used for twins then another baby) your can coat them in a bicarb and vinegar paste and leave them for a few hrs then rinse and bung in the machine

    I was going to say that, or take them off & leave to soak in any sterilising solution. I seem to remember doing that to my boys' highchair straps over 20 years ago ;)
  • Thanks for all your ideas - I am soaking in sterilising solution and then machine washing so we'll see how that goes.
