I won't buy a highchair unless the straps do come off.. it is obvious they will be coaed in everything so need washing I can't understand why the manufacturers are so stupid they fix them in place.
I was given one highchair and the straps were fixed.. I cut them off with a stanley knife and used reins that clipped to the D rings and put them in the washer once a week.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I can't find which thread I found the recipe on but can someone please tell me what proportions / combinations I need to make a multi purpose cleaner?
I have just bought a 3kg bag of bicarb of soda and a 5lt container of white vinegar (total cost of £5.84 which I think is a good price) and I'm not sure of the 'recipe' now!
Doh!
Oh, I also have Stardrops and Zoflora in the cupboard.

I'd love to know how much to use for cleaning drains - ie., how many tbsps baking soda vs ml vinegar!

I have just done our bathroom one as it starts to slow down when draining sometimes.
I put half a cup of bicarb down, then half a cup of white vinegar then poured a kettle of boiling water down and it did the trick.
As per the link below.

If you are pouring vinegar down the drain, just use value brown [malt] vinegar, not the clear "white" one, unless of course you have a cheap source of clear vinegarNumerus non sum0 -

Hi sb44, where did you get the 3kg bag of bicarb & 5 lt of white vinegar please? I have been looking for larger quantities of both those items.- Blocked Drains Pour about 16 tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda down the sink and then pour in about 120ml of white distilled vinegar. Put the plug in for a couple of minutes as the 2 chemicals will fizz. Rinse through with boiling water.
Thank you

Hi
I bought them from a Chinese Supermarket after seeing a link on another thread.
The bicarb of soda was £3.60 after VAT was added and the vinegar appears to be VAT free according to my receipt and was £2.25 for 5 litres.
They had Sarsons white vinegar which was £4.35 but as I was only buying to use as a cleaner I went for the cheaper ' Ellsey's ' vinegar which is the same strength ie 5% but only £2.25.
Google your area for chinese supermarkets, I never knew there was one near us until a couple of years ago, then again it is on an industrial estate so I had no reason to go there before.0
