Thanks, the problem is he wants to phone me to give me the quote, and I'm terrible on the phone and just agree to anything (worst example: giving my card details out to someone claiming to be from a charity I've never heard of, eek!).

Sister's just phoned me to ask how long bad debt stays on your credit file, I told her 6 years and then she started talking about how you can pay to have bad credit marks taken off your file. No you can't. But what do I know, because you definitely can. *sigh*. Well, we'll all be ready to help in a few years when she ends up on here.

Putting up a flat pack bookcase and six shelves, fixing a rollerblind, and a little bit of plastering, it's the plastering he wants to talk about so he can give a quote. I think I'll just bite the bullet and say my dad's offered to do it for free. (he said he would a few months ago, but that was before he met his girlfriend, but it'll still only take an hour or two so he should be ok with it.)

Just spoken to dad and he'll do it in a few weeks, so I'll just tell them that.

He said he'd only do it though if the flat's tidy, so it's a good job Becky and Linda came yesterday and that I'm going to get a cleaner in!
