Cherrypie, do you have any real incomings at the moment?
Please tell us the whole story and a list of your debt, we want to help you. You need to go to ENTITLED.COM and enter some figures onto it. You may get a good idea of what benefits you are entitled to. As regards to the van insurance, if they bounce the DD, will you be covered anyway? I wouldn't have thought so, but may someone else could answer that one.
Your situation sounds very desperate, we want to help you, but we need information in order to do that.0 -
hi,
i think with the car ins dd, the company will allow you bout 2 - 3 missed payments before they stop insuring you, so even if your dd does bounce you should still be covered by insurance, (but dont quote me on this!!!) :-)0 -

The children will be fine on a different level for the time being, although you wouldn't be a mother if you didn't worry about such things. Besides the au pair will be on the same level for dire emergencies.
Why is the loft conversion not suitable for the au pair? What is actually wrong with it?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Could your youngest (presumably the most wakeful) be upstairs with you temporarily? The other ones may not wake up so much if they're not being as disturbed. What ages are we talking about?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. guanteed income a month is £931 (CTC, WTC and child ben) outgoings each month £1788 inc everything, bills, food, debts. Occording to entitledto.com we are entitled to housing benefit and ct benefit but they themselves say otherwise. As regards to the van, your right so were screwed either way really as no van, no work, no work, no money. Got no one at all either to ask for a lend, my mum is bringing me bread and milk in the morning and i know she'll quiz me but shes not the type to offer advice, just to critacise instead. Im scared for my kids now.
The loft conversion is sort of livable. But we have no furniture. It needs plastering but it does have one velux and electric so not all that bad if she doesn't mind kipping on the floor (trying to make light of it) The kids are 7,5,3 and 2 and yes the youngest colud come with us thats not a prob.0 -
See if you can get some furniture from freecycle ( I got a decent rocking chair recently). Move into the loft conversion for a while with the youngest.
After the au pair has settled and knows you, she may well be fine to move up to the loft herself.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Don't be scared, we are here to help. Ok, my advice is, get your benefits paid into your new bank account with immediate effect.
Please post an SOA.
I apologise if I sounded harsh in the post above, I really am feeling for you, its tough making ends meet especially with children, (I know!).0 -
cherrypie,
I have been reading some of your other posts. I saw a suggestion from RAS that you speak to a student finance officer at Uni as soon as possible. I think you need to do this. I have seen lots of helpful comments from RAS over the time I have been on the forum. I think in your panic maybe you are misunderstanding some of what has been said. I think it would be worth speaking to the Uni even before you see the CAB (I know you will have to get there somehow - get hubby to take you and go in together). I really think you need to do this, if only to rule it out. I know you need to pay an accountant but you also need to know what you may be entitled to. From a quick glance at the figures, for a smaller fee, the accountant may be able to estimate a threhold of income that would allow you to progress with a bursary application.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Another thought, expalin to the accountant about the bursary. See if she will do the work that will enable you to get the bursary, with a written agreement that her fees will come out of the bursary as it arrives. (There may be some way that it can be worded that the Uni have to pay a portion direct to her).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
