Hiya all.
Not very much OS going on in the Peoples' Republic of North West Wales
I'm still trying to find the motivation to tidy my flat - I have been a lazy so-and-so over the last few days especially as I'm painkiller-ed up to the eyeballs!
Unfortunately there is a rupture in the scar tissue in my throat so they are just waiting for it to split (although it may heal itself, fingers crossed) so they can take me back to hopsital and repair it  I knew my tonsils wouldn't go without a parting shot!
I'm going to my new house later this afternoon to put down some flea powder - the last people had a cat who they mustn't have looked after very well - before I clean the carpets this weekend and I need to light fires in the fireplaces to try and warm the house up and dry it out a little.
I also managed to get a new food processor last night for £25 - a Kenwood as well, it was reduced heftily in Mr T's (I last looked at it when it went down to £32 and pondered it then) and considering my last/current food processor was an £8 smartprice model, I feel it is a step up and hopefully it won't make as many scary 'I'm going to break now' noises.
I'm so excited about my new kitchen that is more than 6 foot by 5 foot! :T
I hope everyone else is doing nice things and enjoying their Friday (at least as much as you can).
Hugs to all,
Maite

My DD had her 2nd cervical cancer vaccine on Saturday, she's 15 so has to have it at the doctors as the school is only doing the younger girls. She had no problem with the jab, very quick and her arm was only slightly tender afterwards.
Not much OS going on here today, OH has some new stronger pain meds and they space him out a bit so I need to keep an eye on him. The washer is doing it's final spin so will hang that out but I think any other chores may have to wait until this evening when OH goes for his dialysis.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
redruby DD2 had the jabs last year, I think she had a sore arm for a day thats all. I think the vaccine is a brilliant step forward for womens health. about 99% of cervical cancer is caused from the HPV virus , so to have a vaccine to protect them is great news ( I suppose they should have the jab before they start having sex then? )
well both girls are feeling very sorry for themselves with swine flu, I am managing to keep their temperatures more or less under control and they are sucking throat sweets, they are huddled together on the sofa watching tele.
have managed to get some washing on the line , and its HM chilli and jacket potatoes for me and OH and soup for the kids
have a good day all xx0 -
Hi all. I've just woken up from a nap; having been up so early this morning, I was desperate!
Essex-Girl - I think mentioning Jade Goody is a great way to illustrate the importance of the cervical cancer jab. Her death was so recent and well-publicised, and even she said she hoped what happened to her would help others.
Welcome to you, Lou!
Troo- I've joined Down to Earth, just haven't posted yet. Thanks for telling us about it. Hope you are keeping well?
Maitane - your poor throat. Hope it gets better soon.
Well, off for some lunch.

Morning all :hello:
Just popping on before I nip down the town to pick up a few bits. Need to collect my boots from the cobbler and hoping they won't cost too much.
Also going to buy a waste paper basket for the living room in an effort to stop DDs from shoving waste behind the furniture.
2 loads of washing are on the line, house is clean and tidy and tea is made (leek and potato soup). need to try and spend some time in the garden again this afternoon but other than that it's a fairly lazy day.
8 years ago Pink and I watched the news unfold together as she was visiting to help me with my new twins. Very scary.
Hope your DDs are recovering Sistercas

Afternoon peeps
beautiful and sunny here again today, wish i wasn`t off to w*rk later as i could spend the rest of the day outside.
The doggies were walked early today and then i put 2 huge bags of chickpeas in the sc with spinach and potatoes and lots of spices to make saag aloo, the chick peas were an extra to bulk it out and the sc is full to the top. We are trying to empty the freezer but i think it will take quite some time as now i`ve used the defrosted chickpeas the mixture will make a lot of meals and some will have to be frozen
The rest of the morning has mainly been spent outside, i`ve dug a border over and dug in all the soil that was used for the potatoes this year, it was lovely and rich and crumbly - just perfect. I`ve also done some weeding and tidying and taken all the dried flowers off one of the lavender plants and i have it in an envelope in the cupboard which now smells gorgeous when i open the door.
The washing was out by 7am and is now dried and put away i`m off for my shower shortly but could quite happily go back outdoors.
Thanks for the Anniversary wishes for yesterday everyone, as i was at w*rk i didn`t get to see DH until almost midnight but we may have an evening out in a couple of weeks when we both manage to get the same day off.
Just heard on the radio that Boots are doing the CC vaccination, it`s £400  i think that many people will want it but won`t be able to afford it.
Catch up later guys.
