I agree with this too and our local T's has brought in a 75% max. rule anyway so it's obviously been happening. I have to admit to a 19p shop as being my lowest ages ago and I did get a newspaper free once but I now aim for no more than 75% but am finding it increasingly difficult to get near that with the 3 internet only rule in my store. I generally get 45 - 65% off my bill and pay between £5 and £20 so I hope I am under the 'radar'. (I've still managed to save nearly £2000 in less than 12 months though!)
In our local paper there was a flyer for Tesco's which included a 250 points off Health and Beauty and 100 points of Vitamins etc. expiry 4/10/09 - watch out for it. Mine was tucked inside the Farm Foods flyer :rotfl:
Hi can you give a rough idea of what is your local area please?0 -

Shouted at, not at all.
I don't know how people do it anyway - if you are paying pennies, you must have your whole shop mapped out and calculated. I just grab what i can thats got a long date, can be frozen or will make a good prezzie.
And i still don't know how people are getting these large amounts off. I read the thread, and print all the coupons on the front page, and never get anywhere near that amount. Last time i did it, i got £18 in total.
I'm not very good at this couponing lark am i, lol.
Its not just the 'one off' almost all paid for with coupons shops though is it? There are people who appear to do big shops on a very regular basis ie once or twice a week either by themselves or by sending in their partners, older children etc as well - and EVERY time they are paying well under £1 ! I find it very hard to understand just where all these different coupons are coming from - I assume that they are following the 'one of each type unless you've bought the right item' rule. Each batch that they use must be re-using many of the same coupons they've used before so are likely to be PDF multiples. I know that many of us (me included) do re-use PDFs (as long as they do not stipulate 1 per person/1 per household) - but using wads of them time and time again is bound to create comment, or worse from the staff. And once other customers start complaining about the excessive queue times while all these coupons are being checked - especially when many of them won't scan and have to be manually input - then management are going to take action.
Its already happened in many stores.ELITE 5:2

Coupon-mad wrote: »Like you, I can't remember ever reading that the Huggies Smart Coupon was banned by Tesco. I am fairly sure it wasn't, especially if you've been using it and it still scans. Banned mocs are normally blocked.
Recalling posts on here, I think Huggies changed the coupon server back to Couponnet didn't they - pretty sharpish - when the Smart Coupon version was being overused & ebayed. But that doesn't mean T banned it, that's a different thing entirely.
Dunno for certain, 'cos I didn't use either of them (I can't get Couponnet except via swapping on PTS!;):D).
ok so i said banned;), what i should have maybe said was it was sort of decided (on this thread) that we should only use one of the coupon smart ones, as many were printing off lots which all had the same number on them, and many were being sold on ebay of course, it was stated by many that overuse of this coupon smart huggies one could lead to the coupon being banned altogether, and a possible change in coupon policy at whatever store you use. it then of course swapped over to couponet which sort of safeguards how many can be used.
how individuals choose to use the coupons on this thread is of course entirely up to them, but personally, i read through this thread daily, not only to look for new coupons but to get opinions from you all on how to use coupons, IE: how many, and as a rule i stand by the majority, this is how i came to not use the coupon smart huggies one more than once.
i then noticed that someone was using a coupon for a product that tescos dont actually stock, they posted this fact on this thread and of course i replied, and sort of used the word banned:o soz bout that:o
ive noticed that some (very small minority) dont seem to read through this thread, so use coupons according to their own policy, which of course again is fine, but i would rather stick to reading through this thread and keep to the rules.(i thought that was the idea of this thread)
this of course is my opinion
rant over, good morning all:D;)0 -
