  • Good mornin everyone :j

Think I have found a new MOC

30p - know its not a big one but it all helps.

Registered with smart coupon and it printed a 30p off Burtons snack Bites

    www.smartcoupon.co.uk/RegisteriFrame.aspx?

Sorry if it is not new.
  • I followed the link posted earlier in the forum http://www.uk.pedigree.com/puppycoupon181.aspx - primarily to print the controversial £6.89 coupon - BUT I was pleasantly surprised to receive TWO further coupons:

    83p off Pedigree Adult Can 6 x 400g :j

    AND

    £1.42 off Pedigree Adult Pouch 8 x 300g :j

Can these be added to the first page please?

With regards to the £6.89 coupon, I personally feel that it isn't our responsibility to police its usage by preventing MSE members (whether lurkers or regular contributors) from getting to see it. If Tesco find that it's being abused then I am quite sure they will press a few buttons and block the coupon in all stores (the same way that the OK! coupon - and others - were blocked).

Tesco are NOT, in my opinion, going to ban ALL coupon-usage due to some coupon abuse (they make too much money from customers like us using coupons as per their policy). They would firstly take all reasonable steps to put out fires where they arise.

I know that my opinion may not be shared by many people, but I just wanted to say my piece. ;)

I didn't print too many extra pedigree coupons, cos i knew i couldnt use em all before the expiry date.

Now it seems you can only print one set. Is that the same for everyone?

I expect I'll get shouted at for sticking my neck out - but I'll stick it out anyway! Its only my opinion - and I really don't expect a lot of agreement - but I reckon that paying pennies for a 'shop' of over £100 is asking for trouble!

I know all about 'national policy' and how it appears that, technically, you can pay for your whole 'shop' in coupons - but you can't expect to get such a massive discount and not get noticed. It doesn't go down well with the staff and, once managers get involved, its pretty obvious that they will clamp down. Using great wads of coupons takes up a lot of CA time and irritates the hell out of customers behind you in the queue (to the extent that some even go off and complain to the manager that they will never shop in Tesco again cos of the wait- I've heard them do it.

A few lucky peole have local stores that really don't seem to mind but thats unusual and, increasingly, the policy is being clamped down and excessive coupon users are being banned. Just because you 'can' (according to national policy) tear the backside out of it doesn't mean that its sensible to do so.

hi u totally agree i always try and pay double my oupons so £50 spend £25 cash £25 coupons although my store would allow 100% of the shop i even said the the store manager that i dont know why they dont have a 50% rule same as telford does and a no cc no coupons policy this way it will put people off going all the time as they have to find cash.
i want this policy to continue but as 1 said its being abused 1 person went in our store 8 times in 1 day???

While I am here, I really wish that some customers would use their brains and not photocopy coupons. The short term gain just isn't worth it, risking individual stores banning coupons altogether. It has been said before I know, but needs saying time and time again. I have "trouted" a few customers recently because of the blatant use of photocopies.:mad::mad::mad:

totally agree they should be colour and as i said above this needs to be sorted

    Thanks to DaisyChain on PTS

E Mail registration then opens web page with coupon. Prints multiples.

Valid til 31 October but uses a LOT of Black and very poor barcode so may be more trouble than it's worth!!

I agree with this too and our local T's has brought in a 75% max. rule anyway so it's obviously been happening. I have to admit to a 19p shop as being my lowest ages ago and I did get a newspaper free once but I now aim for no more than 75% but am finding it increasingly difficult to get near that with the 3 internet only rule in my store. I generally get 45 - 65% off my bill and pay between £5 and £20 so I hope I am under the 'radar'. (I've still managed to save nearly £2000 in less than 12 months though!)

In our local paper there was a flyer for Tesco's which included a 250 points off Health and Beauty and 100 points of Vitamins etc. expiry 4/10/09 - watch out for it. Mine was tucked inside the Farm Foods flyer :rotfl:

granted 8 times in one day is very excessive. we are only allowed in once per day in my store, and the staff get extra monitoring as they know the policy. i know some of you don't agree with it, and you're entitled to your opinion, but if they didn't agree with what i do i would have been told by now. as long as i follow the rules, they are ok with it. having been doing it this way for 18+ months now and as long as they're all checked nobody minds.

Like you, I can't remember ever reading that the Huggies Smart Coupon was banned by Tesco. I am fairly sure it wasn't, especially if you've been using it and it still scans. Banned mocs are normally blocked.

Recalling posts on here, I think Huggies changed the coupon server back to Couponnet didn't they - pretty sharpish - when the Smart Coupon version was being overused & ebayed. But that doesn't mean T banned it, that's a different thing entirely.

Dunno for certain, 'cos I didn't use either of them (I can't get Couponnet except via swapping on PTS!;):D).

thank you coupon-mad, i was startig to feel like someone was blaming me for them being banned or something!!??
