Paul Young then The Communards then Erasure, and some Bros thrown in for good measure.
My best friend and i absoultely loved Erasure!
Been to many of their concerts, and posters from wall to wall.
Gosh, I feel so old haha x

I loved them too! Went to all of their concerts and I bet you're not as old as me...

When I first left home, I rented a house and one of the guys I shared with looked just like Jimmy Somerville...how good was that...? Didn't sound like him but people used to stop him in the street thinking he was Jimmy!

James Hunt was my first pin up, in his racing suit. I used to kiss him goodnight.

I also like Adam Ant, David Sylvian and The jam, moving on to Wham! (mainly George Michael)

I just googled their fan club and that was the first linky. They have all then dance steps to Tragedy if you ever need them though :rotfl:

I recall my 5 year old niece dancing to Tragedy at my wedding - she's 13 now!

I was a huge Boyzone fan so my room was covered in Boyzone and Ronan.....I still go and see them live whenever they tour but fortunately outgrew the poster stage lol

I loved Steps as well.....so much fun :)

We was about 15 to 17 ish when we went through the Jimmy/Erasure stage.
We even managed to meet Jimmy Somerville backstage at one of his concerts (Think it may have been Kentish Town somewhere - cant remember properly as been to so many)
Did you see Erasure in the Wild Tour? We saw them about 5 times :rotfl:
The Docklands and Milton Keynes Bowl concerts were the best and will stay with me for life.
Sitting here reminissing now.......... oh those were the days ...... no responsibilities............... thought we could change the world simply by being in it LOL

I had a few of Morten  Norway seemed just SO exotic then as well. :rotfl:

But really my heart was given over to rick astley :A he was a nice lad.

I too lived for smash hits, especially the lyrics pages- reading the lyrics whilst taping some of the charts on a casette to sing back to .

I secretly wanted to be in roxette

I remember taping the charts off Radio 1 on a Sunday evening :D

BTW my colleague went to an 80's revival concert thing last month at one of the race courses and Rick Astley was playing - hasn't changed in appearance must apparently :D
Also Bucks Fizz and Howard Jones (apparently his hair has gone flat now though!)
  • The Style Council, The Jam and Paul Weller....so pretty much anything with Paul Weller on it really. :)

I still listen to Paul Weller now - he was never pretty enough for my wall though:D
  • Think I must be the oldest. I had the Beatles and later on the Monkees. Still like them!:o
