We was about 15 to 17 ish when we went through the Jimmy/Erasure stage.
We even managed to meet Jimmy Somerville backstage at one of his concerts (Think it may have been Kentish Town somewhere - cant remember properly as been to so many)
Did you see Erasure in the Wild Tour? We saw them about 5 times :rotfl:
The Docklands and Milton Keynes Bowl concerts were the best and will stay with me for life.
Sitting here reminissing now.......... oh those were the days ...... no responsibilities............... thought we could change the world simply by being in it LOL

Are you sure it was Jimmy you met and not my flat mate? :rotfl:

The Milton Keynes Bowl...now you are talking! We went off for a "Reading come Glasonbury" equivalent where we decided to camp for the night before a concert with a load of other Communards/Erasure fans in a field just outside of MK...those were the days! No fields near MK now...!:D

Am now looking for my vinyl records...so well preserved and still love their stuff...might be worth few bob but won't sell because of the memories associated with them.

Who remembers Brother beyond? "The harder I try. ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh!"
  • Yep, i remember Brother Beyond...but don't like to admit to it though. My record collection is scary! What's even scarier is that I still listen to it and even worse...enjoy it!

My sister was saying a while ago about how much she fancied the lead singer Nathan Moore. I told her he came out, she was devastated!
  • What about Fergal Sharkey...?

Yep, remember Nathan now...don't think it bothered me at the time...just fancied him anyway! I did go to an all girl school so can be forgiven for my crushes....and it was a long time ago! What ever happened to them (not my crushes...they've not gone!!:rotfl:) but the "heart throbs" of years gone by.
