Thanks El! I've just been through Outlook Express rescuing client email addys that I know are current, and it hasn't shorthanded them out of existence, and sending emails from the new addy.
Plus contacting the 3rd builder, from last week, who said he'd do me the retaining wall at cost plus labour. Interesting - the labour is £1350, and he reckons the costs will be about £800. Thats quite a lot short of the £4500 the first guy quoted!
Off to do some account-y work now, after a cuppa tea - all this emailing is tiring. I've been on the computer the whole time - this is what I mean about having the bingo in the background, its no loss of time for me!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
hi KC
MISSED ELEVENSES
if your sending virtually the same email out can you not copy and paste,,,rather than doing each one individually
also,,,do you not back up your email address to your computer ,,,,ms office(even basic) will do it on auto for you!!!!WAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING
hello my name is shaun,,,and im not so addicted to farmville, still addicted to football:o:o
BAAAARRRRRRRRRRKING er insanely so0 -
I was waiting for you
I've got 7 of them in one go, Shaun - but the bit I have access to is quite old, for some of them I'm not sure the email addy is up to date, I'm not doing them individually, thanks!
Backup.... I did back it up once. It ended up with a file I couldn't accessTruthfully, I love tech, but I'm not very good at it.
Been playing free bingo - withdrawn yesterday's prize. I won £3.75 at a chat game, but it went into bingo bucks (can't withdraw, only wager) so I withdrew the actual cash and lost it. Annoying - I must, must, must remember to withdraw winnings *immediately* - I'd have had that money to play with if I'd withdrawn within 5 mins or so. I just feel a bit bad doing that straight away - misdirected empathy, I'd call that :rotfl:
I've also been finishing off my accounts - the "Misc" file is quite longjust starting on the mystery shopping stuff now, and then thats it!

Misdirected empathy - what a fab phrase!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Ta! :rotfl: Its a big failing of mine, actually. The only thing I've ever collected apart from stupid SF stuff has been cats - porcelain, stone, plastic, ceramic, doesn't matter - I'd often have to buy one because it was sitting unappreciated somewhere. It got so that I was rushing past market stalls with my eyes on the floor
Then I learned to be 'ard an' tuf!

Hurray, the DVDs that Shaun sent have arrived! V happy about that - I have to work this evening (i.e. paid work) (its the only paid work of the day, today has been quite strange) but I'll watch a couple of eps after that.
I'm going great guns on the accounts - I'm still not sure I'll have all the mystery shop data down and dusted, but the rest of it will certainly be able to go in. So the shape of tomorrow is like this:
- prepare food for London trip
- finish any accounts work I can.
- go into town, take paperwork to accountant.
- pop off to M&S, see if there's anything left from the Penny Bazaar promo.
- go to the coach station.
- go to London for £1, use oyster card, do the single piece of work I've got, use oyster card.
- come back on a train journey that only costs £3.
- zoom out to my suburban station and walk home (its comparatively early, still safe to do) saving £1.80 bus fare.
I don't *really* like having it mapped out to this degree, but anyone who has a paid job has their day mapped out like this all the time.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sounds like a good plan KC. Will be picking your brains on the accounts front as i have to put one in for MS i did last year. Missed the paper deadline so will do it for Jan.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
I've ended up deciding to use the data from the websites to tie in the payments with the jobs - I *know* my accountant will want that done, and if they do it, it'll double the price. Its pretty easy, actually, because the payment details stay on there permanently. Its just boring!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
