Thanks Ellidee - interesting to see the *proof* of the commonly held beliefs, thats great! The superfoods book I've got from the library says "studies suggest that onions can help to maintain healthy bones by inhibiting the activity of osteoclasts, the cells that break down bone". So not only am I going to be planting garlic over the holiday - I know its late, but I just didn't get round to it - I'll do some onion sets as well.

I was hunting in the fridge for anything extra I could find - put some kiwis out. I'm going to buy wheat bread today - it was *very* popular a couple of days ago, spread with Trex and cut up into tiny squares.
Turfy! How are you? I haven't seen you anywhere except your own diary for ages - you've had an awful lot going on yourself. I'm glad you don't have to travel in this lot - hope your well isn't frozen again - check out Pippi's diary, she lives in a really isolated location too.
Me, I'm far from isolated! And I now have half an hour to get myself together to get to London. And I'll confess - what I *should* have been doing this morning is my Christmas cards. I will do them on the train, but I didn't want to do too many "shoulds" this morning.
