well i have to say i am a big bobby carlisle fan ...in this show he is playing an annoying goodie ...i can agree with things he is saying but he is so far removed from normal people he lacks social skills ...bobby is deff playing the role well ...you only see small bits of daniel jacksons instruction films ...but i have seen a few other faces in this one as well the origonal boss kinda guy and the woman that is in all of them carter (if i remember it right) ok i know that makes me sound like i so dont like these shows but i do i watch them whenever they are on ...i just dont get absorbed by them if you know what i mean ...hubby didnt like battle star galactica i think it jumped too much for him ..i thought it was alright ... have to admit i did like ds9 the best i quite liked voyager as well but not the one that followed... hey at least we aint talking about the w**l ....shhh forget i said that
  • It is a lot like Battle star galactica, the original one. I still think there is a lot of mileage in the original SG1 too..i even have tentative script ideas to prove it..*cough*
The Instructional films were a cop out..bah! to grainy vision of the glorious personage who is Michael Shanks..
Carter( Amanda Tapping) is also on Sanctuary which has a Michael Shanks lookalikie on!

tee hee..... and all the SF fans come out to play! I'd like to watch battlestar galactica from the beginning - never got into it first time round. I still want SG1 - it won't happen now, even the latest straight to DVD movie was postponed. I liked Atlantis - and unusually, I even liked the warrior guy, Ronon - usually, stories about the warriors - Klingon, Jaffa, whatever, they bore me rigid. But Ronon and Sateda - yum.

Michael Shanks is going to be appearing in Sanctuary! And even tho Amanda Tapping is actually an Essex gal, her English accent is a bit, um, variable, lets say. Its good tho. And Michael's also just got a role in Smallville, some comic character - Hawk Man? Something like that. It shoots in Vancouver, the two casts used to play ice hockey against one another (and I've seen a video of some *dreadful* fouls by Michael!!!).

El, like you, I'm trying not to get into any other tv programmes - nowadays, if I find I do like something, I can find it on the web sooner or later, so I won't really miss it. Or I can put in a bit of work to buy the DVDs on Amazon!
