    Hooray for Nationwide.

Agree with the others, you have to think of what will make you happiest in the long term.

Thanks Squizz. I've been off doing some work (shock! horror!) but I've managed to:
    - arrange a quote from the builder who's worked for me in the past (I'd trust him with garden work like this, but no more, he doesn't have the finish right).
    - contacted a total of 4 estate agents who work locally, and one has rung me back already to arrange a valuation meeting - selling the house as is, and selling it with some essential work done. We'll see, and thats not till next week. What I *do* need to do is get in contact with other builders, and get a couple more quotes.

Haven't done that mind map yet, genuine work issue here - could be interesting to do it this evening.

Thanks DT! No more work done on it yet this morning - tried a bit of mind mapping last night, but its really a series of related lists. I'm off to London at 12.30, in the car, and I have a couple of hours at the end while I'm waiting for my partner to finish, so I have a choice of things to do then:
    - read one of the fantasy books that Wol lent me, I'm really getting into the series now.
    - pros and cons of the various alternatives.
    - go to Sainsbo's, and get some bargainous/heavy stuff, it might be one of the last days we use the car with work slowing down the way it is - even a couple of litres of soymilk is 2 litres I don't have to carry home on the bus.

Anyway, the other agents have contacted me by email, so this morning I can at least arrange something with a couple of them for next week.

    Have a good one.

Oh read the new Peter Kay one, it has its moments, but not as good as the first one.

Nice to see you getting organised about the house.
I'm sure it will be less stressful and easier to make a deciscion once you have all the facts to hand.
I always find it easier to do stuff bit by bit and work through it one step at a time.
    What is a mind map,please?
  • A mind map is where you start off with an idea, written in the middle of a piece of paper then write other ideas next to it..

So if i was to mind map how to kill off Mr.B in a subtle way, i would put that in the middle then brainstorm loads of ideas..then pick the workable ones...not that i would do that :rolleyes:but i bet you now have loads of ideas.;)
