Well, I have been! While I'm waiting for the next free bingo, and the time to call my mum, I've been washing down a wall and the skirting board underneath, free of dirt and the odd speck of plaster that got stuck from replastering, and the odd piece of leftover wallpaper - so I can put the base coat on (some of) that bare plaster in the kitchen.

    Good start.

You also need to get on to that Estate Agent as someone suggested so that you can find out exactly how much or how little work you need to do you don't want to spend money that won't be reflected in the sale price unless it will make a significant difference to how quickly you sell.

I find them perfect for things like this - and use them all the time when I need to "discover" the way forward on this long old journey!

Thanks for the input, folks - its needed, actually - for years, I've been so identified with "being a therapist" I've kind of forgotten to put me first, applying what I work with....

A mind map - is that like a flow chart for the thought processes? Is that from Tony Buzan? I heard him speak at some conference when I was (briefly) a Mensa member - he's exactly the sort of clever !!!!!! who's the reason I was out of Mensa asap, but I know the concept is good.

Told my mum about the structural engineer yesterday too - she talks so much during our phone calls, I hadn't told her before, lol - the first thing she says is wibbling on about some shrubs in the front she doesn't like (never has) and the second is wanting to give me the money, bless. It might come to that, I suppose.

I've had a dreadful time this morning trying to get connected - when I rang Virgin cable, my postcode is listed as one that they have a problem with, so at least I know its not my equipment, but really, one reason I went to cable was the reliability

OTOH, Nationwide is my new best friend - I was all set for a difficult phone call with them because I paid a £3 bill on the due date, and was technically late, so getting a £12 late bill. So I logged on to the account to check and sure enough, the late bill is on the account - but so is an equivalent credit, meaning either they have sensible software or sensible people :A Hurray in either case.

I've also been carrying on scraping at the excess plaster thats fallen onto the ventilator in the area of the kitchen I was cleaning last night, and I've taken down some curtains that don't fit - I'm going to wash them, repair the plaster around the window from when the double glazing was put in, and put up the replacement curtains (from my mum, from her unused stash). My curtains will go into my unused stash, cos they're lovely, they just don't fit that space. I'm starting to change, honest :o:D
