My whole debtbusting journey has been one long series of mindmaps - give them a try......just grap a sheet of paper and a pen and let things "develop"!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Hi folks! I didn't come online when I got back home cos I was determined to get enough sleep, and I managed six hours or so, so I'm well pleased.
Hypno - okay, I give in :rotfl:I'll do the "let one thing lead to another" thingmy sense is that my mind will be all over the place so I'll have to sellotape lots of pieces of paper together
Bob - the series is by Raymond E Feist, The Serpentwar Saga - the first book in the series is called "Shadow of a Dark Queen", which I've just finished. I had a hard time getting into it - partly cos I'm prejudiced against slightly weird American names:o:o and against what I often perceive as Tolkien ripoffs
:o:o (not saying he is, I'm explaining unreasoning antipathy) and partly because it begins with the serpents, whereas the focus of the book is humans. But I'm addicted now
Wol - hiya! Glad you're back safe and sound. Would be great to have top totty come down here and quote for the wall. I'm carrying on doing little bits and bobs - like the getting the plaster off the ventilator - which really make a difference. I WILL NOT act like this in my next house, i.e. only finishing off jobs when I'm thinking about moving. I make that pledge here and now!
Hi Z:hello: thanks for that linkie - that looks good to have it on the laptop, which would save the distraction of sellotaping sheets together. Its interesting that, because that *does* look like a series of lists, I thought mind mapping was about interconnections, sort of like a flowchart of if...then.... but of course it could be.
For instance - god, no, I need my breakfast before I can think that carefully. I'll have a think later when my blood sugar isn't on the floor. But the link looks great! Thank you :T2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I can understand the antipathy, as much as i love the Harry Potter books..i see the likeness to Tolkein and think... i wish i had wrote that...:rotfl:
OOh you will be getting Top Totty through your door now:j By, there's a reason to get up in the morning....:rotfl:
Goes out to examine dodgy wall with pick axe:whistle:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Thanks for the info on mind maps..I can have fun with that.
DT....I do all my thinking in a nice hot bath as well..lol
KC..top totty..now that will brighten your day up..lol..0 -
:rotfl: to Bob's pickaxe - you'd really rather not, Bob, there's easier ways to meet even the toppest of top totty
But they'll certainly brighten my day
Wow to the housewarming idea, DT - I've never done it, tbh, always thought I'd need rentamob from somewhere to be able to make respectable numbers - I'm an antisocial little s*d on the sly
Pretty tired when I got back from town yesterday afternoon - and *still* not bought any trainers, its absolutely mad at the shop where I have a credit note. I'm in town again on Thursday - I booked a flu jab, first time ever - so I'll try again then.
I was horribly sleepless last night - I might actually need to have a little lay down this afternoon - I was up at something like 5.30, it was crazy. So I've done a new budget (bit better than I thought) and a matched bet - first one in ages, frightening, but I'm logically sure as I can be that I got it right. I also have an offer from betfair - got it through the post ... hmm, just checking the T&C, I might not be eligible now, because of the one I've just done - or maybe that *is* eligible? Either way, I don't think I'm going to do anything else. Thats okay, I'm kind of tired:cool:
Today, its free bingo, and preparation for the estate agents - I've now got two of them coming round on Wednesday.
Hope everyone has a good day, I'll be on here again today cos the computer will be on with the free bingo lark an'all......2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Definitely put me on the list for the housewarming I would love to come I don't think you will need to rent a mob there is a big enough mob on here that would love to come I'm sure.
Good luck with preparation for the Estate Agents.
I will hopefully do a bit of bingo today but we do have visitors. As soon as my new nationwide card arrives I will start the MB but I have gone a bit off the boil so I will have to read up again:rolleyes:

You're on! I've stopped the prep for lunch, and am just off to make my 2nd coffee of the day. I've got b!ngo br!tain and K!ng on at the same time - br!tain looks quick, and takes no prisoners, we'll see how it goes.
Enjoy your visitors - its a lovely day round here, blowy but full of sunshine. And as for reading up on the m.b. again, I'd recommend it in any case - I've lost count of the number of times I've gone back even to the introductory thread.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
