Hello :hello: Welcome! You're absolutely right - and I do that whenever I can. The place with the worst squished bodies is my bedroom - because its late at night when I go to bed, and I'm conscious of the neighbours, I don't want to be running the vacuum for 3 or 4 mins, which is what I do to cope with the situation normally.

Off to do the new bingo.....

    Hiya - lol.....

It would be even stranger than 'annoying' the neighbours! My neighbour (single lad) hoovers late at night, so one day at his family BBQ we got drunk and I started to quiz him on his preferences regards to the hoover (think sexual) and he was horrified at the thought that my wife and me would sit there laughing thinking he was sucking up dust from his nether regions!

Turns out he worked funny hours so hoovered at night (yea right, thats what they all say innit!)......

Anyway - ahem! Good luck at the new bingo! Want my lucky dabber..... it may have the odd friction burn but that's all

My builder has finally showed up to finish off the immersion heater work (from about a year ago :o mea culpa, not his). Exciting :j and I managed to say politely that I need the wood that makes up the shelf knocked back in (made good) hurray.

And he's brought the first quote for the wall - £3695 + VAT.....

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Yikes that's some wall - Great Wall of China job:rotfl:

Yep! Its only about fifteen feet long, but it goes from a couple of feet high to about seven feet high, and of course its holding back all that earth - the earth has to be removed for about three feet back from the wall.

Oh I will, don't worry - with the smaller works this builder did, I *didn't* get quotes, I just wanted the stuff done, and he was local - but I don't trust him too well price wise, even the structural engineer that was round last week laughed at the idea that it would cost £4k.

In other news - I didn't win *again* at the b!ingo br!tain website - I must be tacticking wrong or something :rotfl:will have a snoop on the proper thread to check.

put it this way ...spiders sometimes need to be squished

No they don't...at the very worst they need to be ushered out the door.

Moving on ........ today has been work-busy! Emergency session, meeting with partner, and then a long session in the afternoon, a proper day. I also:

    - used my freebie bet from sportingbet on a game tonight, I'll check it last thing.
    - did the daily b/britain, still not won anything (after 3 days!!!) What do people do about how to play that? Use up all the tickets in one game? Two games? How many? And I can only find one bingo game on that site (I saw Double on there, hiya!).
    - I've been emailing this guy in Vancouver who wants to buy the book of SF lit crit - and sent a paypal invoice, my first - I'm so proud! Must remember to withdraw the thing from Amazon.

I was going to paint some bare plaster in the kitchen before the estate agents came round tomorrow, but I had to have something to eat after work, and then it got dark, and I can't have the windows open properly, certainly not for long enough to get rid of the paint smell, so I'll feel sick tomorrow ...... so its easier to just not paint tonight, lol! If I wasn't sleeping here, it would be different.

Still got quite a few little jobs I want to do before they get here, so I'll get on with those.

Hope everyone has a nice evening. See quite a few of you later on the free bingo!
